Anne Sofie von Otter is one of today's leading operatic voices. Since her debut in 1990, the Swedish singer has made countless recordings in all styles: baroque and classical operas, sacred and traditional music, and modern works. Her interpretations of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, Messiah and Handel's Giulio Cesare have won her critical acclaim. In 2001, the opera star experimented with pop in For The Stars with Elvis Costello, then sang the hits of her compatriots ABBA in I Let The Music Speak in 2006. Her albums Watercolours (traditional Swedish arias) and Terezin (concentration camp prisoner songs) also won awards. In 2010, the mezzo-soprano is accompanied by Brad Mehldau on the double album Love Songs. Three years later, the mezzo-soprano honors an eclectic French repertoire on the double album Douce France.
