DakhaBrakha is a Ukrainian musical group formed in 2004 at the Dakh Contemporary Arts Center in Kyiv. The quartet—Marko Halanevych, Olena Tsybulska, Iryna Kovalenko, and Nina Harenetska—blended traditional folk music with contemporary sounds and various ethnic styles. Founded by Vladyslav Troitskyi, their name translated to "give and take." They released their debut album На добраніч (2005), followed by Ягудки (2007) and На межі (2009). Their international breakthrough came with the release of Light (2010). They performed at notable festivals such as the Transmusicales de Rennes, Eurockéennes de Belfort, and Glastonbury Festival. They received the Sergey Kuryokhin Prize in 2009 and the Shevchenko National Prize in 2020. Their discography also includes the albums Khmeleva project (2012), The Road (Шлях) (2016), Alambari (2020), and Ptakh (2025).
