Alain Moloto, born on July 27, 1961, in Kisangani, Democratic Republic of the Congo, was a Congolese gospel singer. He began his higher education in 1983 at the Institut Supérieur de Commerce de Kinshasa and joined a university theater group, where he started writing songs in French and Lingala. Moloto founded the group GAEL in 1998 with artists from the Institut National des Arts (INA) of Kinshasa. His first solo album, Jésus Le Prince Glorieux, was released in 1994. With GAEL, he performed numerous tours across various countries and released several collaborative albums including Yahwe Tobelemi (1999), Sublime (2001). Moloto's second solo album, "Le fruit de mes lèvres" (2010), featured the hit song "Naza Ya Yesu". In 2012, he and GAEL were nominated for "Gospel Africa" at the Kora Awards. Moloto passed away on August 2, 2013, after a prolonged illness attributed to poisoning.
