Tom Williamson is a British songwriter, composer, producer, organist and pianist currently living in Sevenoaks, England.
Tom had quite an unusual musical upbringing. He began his musical journey as a boy chorister in Winchester Cathedral Choir, where he received his first organ lessons from the inspirational conductor and organist David Hill. He then became a Music Scholar and organist for Eton College Chapel Choir under the direction of Ralph Allwood. Tom later became Organ Scholar for the Choir of King's College, Cambridge, The Choir of Canterbury Cathedral and The Grace Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys, San Francisco. While living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area, he also performed with the San Francisco Symphony under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas.
Tom has been fortunate to spend time at award-winning film composer Hans Zimmer's studios in Los Angeles, working with the extremely talented British film composer Harry Gregson-Williams. He has also worked as an assistant to British film and TV composer Richard Harvey.
More recently, Tom has written, recorded and produced several pop songs in collaboration with other artists, including "Freedom" and "Sunny Day" with his school friend Donan Vye and his own COVID-inspired "Lockdown" featuring folk singer-songwriter Emma Gale.
Tom is a keen photographer and uses his own images wherever possible. He also enjoys scuba diving.
