Emilio

Emilio is the stage name of Emilio Sakraya Moutaoukkil (born on June 29, 1996), a German actor and singer mostly known for his role as Tarik Schmüll in the Bibi & Tina film series. He started acting from a very young age but it wasn’t until 2016 that he began releasing music under his own name. "Down by the Lake," his debut single, featured English lyrics and an upbeat, effervescent dance-pop sound that quickly put the young artist in the spotlight. Following a three-year break from music in which he focused on his acting career, Emilio came back in 2019 with the singles "Bisschen Allein," "Drauf Bist," and "Hast du Zeit," all of which incorporated elements from trap, contemporary R&B, and urban pop music. In 2020, he released the singles "Sage," "Roter Sand," and "Raus," the latter of which was featured on Schweinsteiger: Memories – Von Anfang bis Legende, a documentary about the life of German footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger. Roter Sand, his studio debut, came out later that year and climbed to number 40 on the German charts. It was followed in 2022 by the even more successful 1996, which peaked at number 19. It also included the gold-selling Top 5 single "Ausmacht." After participating in the VOX show Sing meinen Song – Das Tauschkonzert, Emilio returned in 2024 with Blessings, his third full-length studio album. Preceded by the singles "Regen," "Cacio e Pepe," and "Strawberry Eyes," Blessings peaked at number 8 in Germany while also charting in Austria and Switzerland.
