Born on the 5 th of September in Rivers State, and raised in the city of Port Harcourt, the Nigerian roots phenom, Mercy Chinwo; a Gospel Singer, Actress, Public Speaker, and an Ambassador of the Gospel of Jesus Christ couldn’t come at a better time. In 2013, Mercy Chinwo made her acting debut in the television movie titled ‘HOUSE OF GOLD’, starring alongside Yvonne Nelson, Majid, Omawumi, IcePrince and Frank Odega.In the same year, she did the theme song for the Rivers State Carnival and was found deserving to be the face of the festival. In 2015,she used her songwriting talents to pen her first solo single titled, ‘TESTIMONY’; a song which chronicled her life, and her journey towards success. Since then, Mercy has remained within the Gospel Music circuit, collaborating with some of the well-known Gospel music brands, such as Sammie Okposo, JoePraize, Deacon Buchi, Chris Morgan, PreyeOdede, and many others. In 2016, she released her second single titled ‘IGWE’; a soulful worship song which is fast becoming an anthem in many Churches, trailed with testimonies, chief of which was a report in Dominion City, Enugu, of a woman who came back to life while she sang this song which she said to have learnt when her spirit departed to be with the Lord. Among Mercy’s influencers are the likes of Chris Morgan, Chioma Jesus, and Tasha Cobbs. She made cameo appearances in Sinach’s‘He Did it Again’ video which was released in 2015. She has dropped awesome singles like ‘OME KANNAYA’, ‘ON A REGULAR’, ‘EXCESS LOVE’, ‘I AM’, ‘TRUST’ and ‘LOVE EXPRESSION’ which were all premiered before she released her acclaimed debut album titled ‘THE CROSS MY GAZE’. Mercy is in no doubt fast becoming one of the most influential figures in the music industry in the 21 st century.Her latest and exuberant single titled ‘CHINEDUM’ was released in September, 2018, and is raving views in, and across the shores of .
