Romel Atalaya Granda, better known as Rommel Hunter, is a Peruvian singer and songwriter registered with BMI. He was born in Chachapoyas Amazonas in April of ninety-one. He is the owner of the record label AGR Records and the production company Audivisula AGR Studio. Currently, he has 8 albums: "La Inspiración Urbana", "Evolución y Talento", "Evolución y Talento Vol. 2", "Amor Tenaz", "Te Espero", "Coyuntura", "RESILIENTE" and “Suéltala”. He was a nominee for the Latin Grammy 2020 with his two albums "Te Espero" and "Coyuntura" where the latter made it to the second stage. The singer-songwriter invited the group Nsamble to collaborate on the song "Para qué", which he toured with in 2021 with his album RESILIENTE. Musical career:
The history dates back to 2005, when Rommel Hunter, accompanied by a high school friend, performed cover songs. Rommel Hunter shared the audiovisual production on MySpace and YouTube. It was there where he acquired the artistic name of Hunter. Until those years, he did not have the tools to work, but he had the impulse to learn. Simultaneously, he began to earn a living by singing in orchestras where he performed styles such as salsa, merengue, and cumbia. In 2007, Rommel Hunter finished high school. The money he managed to save was invested in his first workstation. Rommel had several lyrics that were not yet recorded (2008), and that is where he began to study music production and bought his first condenser microphone and audio interface. Thus, he produced his first album "Inspiración urbana" in 2013 where there are themes such as: Trankila, Sobrevivir and Dame una oportunidad. In 2014, he migrated to the bachata genre where he produced the songs No llores más and Ahora que no me perteneces, two songs that had a great reception on social networks, mainly on YouTube with a large number of views. So, for November of the same year, he presented the complete album of evolution and talent and distributed it in digital stores.
