MC IG, born Guilherme Sérgio Ramos de Souza on May 12, 1997, in Vila Medeiros, São Paulo, is a prominent Brazilian funk singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. His career took off in 2015 with the release of his debut EP, MC IG. However, it was the 2018 hit "3 Dias Virados" from the album Lavagem Cerebral that catapulted him to fame, garnering over 200 million views on YouTube. Signed to GR6 Music, MC IG continued his rise with notable projects such as Diamante (2020), which featured tracks like "Pela Marginal" and "Lembra," and O que o Igor Guilherme Anda Pensando (2022), showcasing songs like "Noite Paulista" and "Goodnight Menina." In 2023, he released Ninguém Tá Puro, which included the single "Noite Fria," and also made a significant move by signing with Warner Music Brasil. That year, his collaboration on "Let's Go 4" dominated the charts, spending over three months at the top of the Brazilian streaming charts. He followed this success with the LP Todo Mundo Odeia o IG and Bad Boys with MC Ryan SP, both released in 2024. The latter included the popular single "Filha do Deputado," featuring MC Poze do Rodo and Oruam. Later that year, he dropped the album Dr. Igor Guilherme, featuring contributions from Fepache, Murillo e LT no Beat, DJ Glenner, Dj TC, Mc Neguinho PRT, and DJ Hyago. Feliz no Simples, his tenth album, came out in May 2025 and featured tracks like "Ta Rico Os Meninos do Gueto" with MC Ryan SP and MC Negão Original and "Tipo Aladin" with TrapLaudo and MC GP. A few months later, MC IG extended the Feliz no Simples phase with Feliz no Simples – Parte 2, a 15-track follow-up that included songs such as “Fefa 2” and “Deixa de Mágoa” and pushed further into the mix of romance, street detail, and celebration that had become central to his recent work. Around the same period, he also appeared on Mumuzinho’s “Raiva nas Outras,” a crossover move that placed him inside the singer’s Conectado project. In early 2026, MC IG opened a new cycle with “Medley 2026,” then followed with the singles “Patricinha Ama” and “400K 2” before releasing the 17-track album Quem Tá Vivo, Tá Vivendo in March 2026. Introduced as a more direct look at the contrasts of everyday life, the album kept him in a prolific phase while adding another full-length project to a run that has made him one of the key names in São Paulo funk
