Boot Camp Clik, a hip hop supergroup from Brooklyn, New York, was formed in 1993 and consisted of Buckshot (Black Moon), Smif-n-Wessun (Tek and Steele), Heltah Skeltah (Rock and Ruck), and O.G.C. (Starang Wondah, Top Dog, and Louieville Sluggah). Their origins trace back to the success of Black Moon's single "Who Got da Props?", which reached Number 86 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1992. This led to Black Moon's debut album Enta da Stage, released later that year, which was critically acclaimed and influenced the East Coast rap scene. Boot Camp Clik's first official release as a collective was Smif-n-Wessun's album Dah Shinin' in 1995, featuring the hit single "Bucktown." The group continued to release albums such as For the People (1997) and The Chosen Few (2002). Notable releases from groups in the collective include Heltah Skeltah's Nocturnal (1996) and O.G.C.'s Da Storm (1996).
