Kurt Wieting is a Manhattan based songwriter, singer/pianist, arranger and keyboardist. While much of his time has been spent playing solo piano throughout New York City, he is now utilizing his time writing and recording. The New York Times calls his piano playing “glistening and sophisticated.” Backstage Magazine voted him ‘Best Singer/Songwriter-Pianist’, and New Yorker Magazine writes that his singing is “smooth and stylish.” Kurt has won songwriting awards from ASCAP and The American Songwriting Contest. His compositions have been featured on network television and have been performed by Tony nominated broadway star Karen Akers and Star Search winner and ‘Wicked’ alumnus, Marty Thomas. Kurt is currently recording his original compositions for an upcoming EP entitled, ‘See What You Can Do.’
