Katmaz produces emotive, soulful music with a unique and emotional voice. In 2020, the artist left Brooklyn, NY, and went on a journey across the United States. The expedition of U.S. travels and self-exploration took three months and spanned twenty National Parks. The finale of his journey culminated in the recording of his debut album, which was recorded with producer and childhood friend, Savings, in the California desert town of 29 Palms.

An East Coast native, Katmaz was born in Buffalo, NY, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California, where he co-runs a studio with Savings on Melrose Ave.
