“The world’s not the same without Mother.” God designed women to nurture and guide the home, and many owe their faith to a godly mom. Even Jesus was raised by Mary, chosen for her purity and devotion. Are you hitting the mark in your walk with Christ? The Bible shows that sin is missing the mark—choosing the wide, easy road instead of the narrow path Jesus calls us to follow. We can’t guide ourselves; we need God’s direction. His Word is clear, true, and leads to real peace and faithful living. The Bible lists seven things God hates, including pride, lying, murder, wicked schemes, eagerness to do evil, bearing false witness, and causing division among believers (Proverbs 6:16-19). These sins are serious in God’s eyes, even if the world overlooks some of them. Christians are called to avoid these behaviors, love God wholeheartedly, and live faithfully for eternal salvation.Read about this subjectScriptures: Proverbs 6:16-19, Revelation 21:8He That Soweth Discord Among BrethrenA Heart That Deviseth Wicked ImaginationsFeet That Be Swift to Running to Mischief / A False Witness That Speaks LiesThe Tongue (James 3)

It’s always good to hear people talk about Jesus — especially His resurrection. But Easter isn’t a Biblical celebration. In Acts 12:4, the word “Easter” was a mistranslation — it should read “Passover.”The Gospel is simple: Christ died, was buried, and rose again the third day (I Cor. 15:3-4). God didn’t authorize Easter — He gave us a weekly memorial on the first day of every week (Acts 20:7). Traditions may feel harmless, but truth comes from God’s Word, not man’s ideas (Col. 2:22).Glad to hear Jesus talked about? Absolutely. But even better is knowing and obeying the Truth — because that’s the Gospel (I Tim. 2:4).Read about this subjectScriptures: Acts 12:4, I Corinthians 15:3, Colossians 3:17, John 20, I Corinthians 15:6, I Corinthians 15:13-19, Galatians 1:8, Revelation 22:18, Acts 20:7, Colossians 2:22, I Timothy 2:4"Easter"

Prayer is not just words spoken into the air — it’s the faithful reaching out to the Creator who holds all power. God hears. God responds. And when His people pray with trusting hearts, incredible things can happen. Healing, restoration, forgiveness — all flow from His hand. Whether it’s a hurting soul, a broken body, or even a troubled world, God alone provides the healing we truly need.Read about this subjectScriptures: James 5:13-19, James 5:15, 1 John 1:7, Psalm 6:2, Psalm 147:3, Psalm 60:2

Did you know that God wants all Christians to be united? Jesus Himself prayed for that unity in John 17:20-21. The Bible speaks clearly against division among believers (1 Corinthians 1:10-12) and urges us to strive for unity in Christ (Ephesians 4:3-6). That kind of oneness isn’t just a dream—it’s possible when we follow the Bible alone (Galatians 1:6-9).So here’s the big question: Are you working toward the unity that God desires for all His people? This episode is a special throwback featuring the voice of One Gospel Minute’s original radio host and the founder of Tennessee Bible College, Malcolm Hill. Though first shared years ago, his powerful message on Christian unity still speaks clearly to the challenges we face today. Christians bear the Gospel in earthly bodies, just as Jesus did when He came in human form to declare God's glory (II Corinthians 4:7). Paul encouraged the Corinthians to live for Christ, reminding them that God's plan is entrusted to those who follow Him. As His followers, we are His hands, feet, and voice, spreading His message. The true value lies not in us but in the power of God within—the treasure of the Gospel.Join us for RENEW 2025 at Tennessee Bible College on February 22-23 as we explore this year’s theme, "Earthen Vessels." R.L. Whiteside, in his 1945 commentary on Romans 13, discusses corrupt governments. He argues that bad governments do not invalidate Paul's teachings. Just as the devil can influence churches without owning them, he can influence governments. Civil government aims to ensure security and wellbeing. Without it, life and property would be insecure. Obedience to civil authorities is a gospel requirement. Even imperfect governments, like Rome's, are better than none.Read about this subjectScriptures: Romans 13, Titus 3:1, 1 Peter 2:13-14

Music speaks volumes about who we are. Ralph Vaughan Williams once said that music expresses the soul of a nation, highlighting its deep connection to art, life, and the human spirit. In worship, God calls for vocal music, with the heart as the only instrument (Eph. 5:19). Singing in worship is a profound act of communion with God and a way to teach and inspire one another through song. Andrew Fletcher's words, "Let me make the songs of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws," remind us of the transformative power of music—something truly worth reflecting on.Read about this subjectScriptures: Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16

Have you checked your spiritual heart? The parable in Matthew 13 shows that responses to the gospel depend on the heart's condition—worldliness, shallowness, or lack of understanding prevent spiritual growth, while an open, understanding heart leads to spiritual prosperity. The Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, condemned the unrighteousness of the ancient church in Rome, including their perversion of truth, rejection of creation, distortion of God's design, and prideful denial of God. In this Thanksgiving season, reflect on whether we are truly thankful—grateful to our Creator for blessings, national liberty, and, most importantly, salvation from sin. Hosea's wife, Gomer, mirrored Israel's unfaithfulness to God. They pursued idolatry and false teachers for selfish reasons. Jesus noted the church at Ephesus also abandoned their first love.
