THINNING OF THE VEIL

Keeping your covenants as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is not easy in this last dispensation. When you live in a war torn country, gospel living gets even more complicated and at times very dangerous. Andre is a Latter Day Saint, living in the war zone of Ukraine. His new daily "normal" includes bombs, drones, sirens, and shortages of basic necessities. In the midst of all this Andre still manages to gather Israel on both sides of the veil. In this episode Andre testifies of the miraculous ways that God is watching over him and how his mother, on the other side of the veil, is urging him to prepare for a "great family gathering." Ann Bradshaw is a convert to the church and was drawn to the doctrine of the Gathering. The knowledge that all would have a chance to hear the gospel and make covenants with the Savior was comforting to her, and evidence of a loving God. She felt the pull of her ancestor's and was compelled to not only do their saving work in the temple but also to write about the miracles and Thinning of the Veil experiences that accompanied the Spirit of Elijah. As we seek to make our calling and election sure, we must first enter into covenants with God by proper priesthood authority. Next we must continue proving faithful at all costs, obeying every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, and then we will hear those supernal words of exaltation through the more sure word of prophecy. The Holy Spirit of Promise, another name title of the Holy Ghost, has power given to ratify and justify all contracts, vows and obligations that we enter into.  We with our ancestors are given the opportunity for this ratifying seal to be placed upon us, thus sealing us up unto eternal life. A key event in making one's calling and election made sure is obtaining that "knowledge" through the more sure word of prophecy. Through a heaven sent revelatory experience we can know our standing before the Lord. Bruce R. McConkie explains that this is having the "day of judgement advanced". Calling and Election is a doctrine of the priesthood that is misunderstood by many. While we are invited to make our Calling and Election sure, we are confused at how this process plays out in our individual lives. First, we must understand what "calling and election" even means. As we learn about the principles involved, the laws that must be obeyed, and the refining process that's required, the way forward is a lot more clear. Understanding the doctrine of calling and election is one of divine guidance and heavenly help.  The journey to having one's calling and election is not out of reach and can be attained to in mortality. In fact the path forward to this supernal blessing lies within the our covenantal relationships with God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Julie and Michael are married spouses that both have their previous spouses on the other side of the veil. How does one continue to grow their previous covenantal relationship with their former spouse who is on the other side of the veil? And how to they continue to grow their current relationship with each other in this side of the veil? The power of the priesthood that exists within the covenantal relationship of the Patriarchal Order is not well understood. This episode discusses the doctrine of the Patriarchal Order, the importance and relevance of the priesthood within that sacred order, and the power we develop as we expand that order to include our ancestors. The Gathering of Israel is all about recovering those familial relationships that we once knew and held sacred within the walls of our Heavenly Home. Jeremiah prophesied that in the last days there will be fishers and hunters of men who will seek and sacrifice all, that God's children will be gathered. He also prophesied that the miracles of the Gathering of Israel in Moses's time would be eclipsed by the miracles of the Gathering in the Last Days. Colette shares more of her Thinning of the Veil experiences in this Part 2 episode. The miraculous ways that she is led to find her family on the other side of the veil in various different lands, is evidence of a loving Heavenly Father and Savior. The locations that Colette was prompted to find the "one" is truly remarkable. There is not a place to far, a task to great, or a mountain to high to climb, that will keep us from finding our lost family. If we will listen, the Spirit will show us all things that we must do and all places that we must go to gather our brothers and sisters. The Lord is truly hastening His work and whether digitally or physically, if we are listening,  He will call us to scour the Earth to find the lost sheep and gather them into His fold. Elijah the prophet, returned to the Earth and restored the Sealing Keys and Authority to turn the hearts of the children to the fathers, and the turning of the the hearts of the fathers to their children. While this event was important for many reasons, it was most importantly preparing not only covenant Israel, but the whole world, for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The Priesthood restored by Elijah allows for protection for those willing to make the covenant and who participate in ordinances, from the Savior's glory upon His return. The doctrine of the Gathering of Israel teaches that our relationships extend beyond the grave. God our Heavenly Father seeks to extend familial relationships to each of His Sons and Daughters on both sides of the veil. These relationships do not end when one has passed to the other side. One of the many ways that God gives revelation to His children here on earth is through Visions. This episode explains the difference between a dream and a vision, the importance of visions, and why we might have our own visions. The testimonies of prophets past and present testify to the validity that every day saints can have this gift of the spirit if they obey the commandments, keep their covenants, and are heavily involved in the Gathering of Israel. Many of us deny revelatory experiences through dreams. Yet, the Lord has repeatedly communicated to His children here on Earth through dreams. Some dreams are full of encouragement. Some dreams are a warning, and some dreams are prophetic in nature. But the most sweet revelatory dreams happen on behalf of those who are gathering Israel. There can be no tender mercy sent from the Lord more special than these dearly missed loved ones who are given messages through dreams, allowing for the special, sacred interactions from distant existences.
