Hoodies are very popular at Walt Disney World, especially during the evening hours during the colder months. So which hoodie should you wear and where did hoodies come from in the first place?The History of the Hoodie: Who Invented the Hoodie? Which Style of Hoodie is the Best Hoodie for a Disney World Vacation? All Hoodies are Not Created Equal, So How Do You Choose? Who Invented the Hoodie? Today’s popular hoodie has a long history that goes all the way back to the 1930s, when the Knickerbocker Knitting Company designed the first hoodie sweatshirt (they basically sewed a hood onto a sweatshirt to add extra warmth). Today, that pioneering hoodie company is known as Champion. After its launch, the hoodie gained popularity with the military, who found the design to be great for training purposes. Colleges and universities gave the hoodie enhanced popularity in the 1950s and 1960s, when the hoodie became synonymous with sportswear and branded logo hoodies emerged.In the 1970s, skaters, surfers and the emerging rap and hip hop scene gave the hoodie a more “cool” and urban street vibe. Disney goes all out with décor, treats, food, shows and even special ride overlays at Disneyland (too bad Disney World doesn’t do the same). So it’s not surprising that many guests embrace the spirit of Halloween with a little extra magic in their outfits.But should you dress up for Disney Halloween?Are You Going to a Disney Halloween Party?While some Disney Park guests do dress up a little during Halloween, it’s really only during the Halloween parties that you’ll see a larger number of guests dressing up in their favorite costumes.Many kids dress up for their Disney vacations all year long (princesses, Star Wars characters, Marvel characters etc.), but adults are truly allowed to go full costume only during the Halloween season (yes, there is a dress code specifically for this).Will You Feel Out of Place if You Don’t Dress Up for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or Boo Bash?The answer is no.Many children and teens dress up, as do many adults. But not everyone dresses up for Disney Halloween. Far from it. So you won’t feel out of place if you don’t dress up.Costume Considerations for Disney Halloween PartiesIf you do want to dress up for a Disney Halloween party, what should you wear?The costume you wear to a Disney Halloween party really comes down to why you want to dress up. If you want to dress up so that you can really get into the spirit and be fully immersive, then by all means you can go all out with your costume (within Disney dress code guidelines).Cast Members will often acknowledge great costumes and you’ll certainly be able to get some great photos in the Halloween vibe. But, going all out on a costume can come at the cost of comfort, maneuverability and the ability to easily ride rides (depending on the costume). The next (and probably most common approach) is to strike a balance between dressing up to some degree (you’ll see a lot of Disney bounding in this category), while still being uninhibited by your costume.The final approach is to not dress up at all and just go to the party to enjoy the ambiance, sights and sounds. There a few things that you really need to know when picking your outfits and packing for September weather in Orlando.September in Orlando is a Shoulder Season, Which Means Be Prepared for AnythingSeptember is a great month to visit Disney World, particularly when it comes to lower crowd levels and fun events. This is the month where you can enjoy the best of Disney Halloween and the food and flavors of the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival all in one trip.However, preparing for potential weather conditions during the month of September at Walt Disney World is a little trickier. As a shoulder month, there can be various weather impacts in the month of September and 2024 looks like it may be a wetter month than recent years.What to Pack for Walt Disney World in September 2024Packing for September 2024 will be different this year, as the weather is looking to be a little hotter than normal and a little wetter as well. Packing like you would for August is probably a safe bet this year, which is not always the case for the first official month of fall at Walt Disney World.Plus, with Halloween in full swing and the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival fully underway, you may want to consider packing a special outfit or two if you plan to take part in the festivities (both of which are highly recommended).Weather Forecast for Walt Disney World in September 2024The forecast for September 2024 at Walt Disney World includes the kind of oppressive heat and humidity that you pretty much expect in Orlando at this time of year.For September 2024, Orlando and Walt Disney World daytime highs should range from 86°F (30°C) to 95°F (35°C), while nighttime lows will hover around 73°F (23°C) to 79°F (26°C). And remember, these temperatures do not include humidity/humidex, so be aware that it can easily feel much hotter than this on most days. Of course, we all know that weather prediction is hardly a science, but still it is something to consider if you’re visiting this month.When you couple the warm temperatures continuing on into September with the forecast rain, you can prepare for humidity that will impact on both your park stamina and the clothes that you wear, so pack with this in mind.Active weather, including tropical storms and hurricanes, is still possible as well in September. You can plan in advance for these by checking the local weather (on a local Orlando weather app) the day before you leave for your vacation. Disney guests at Walt Disney World and Disneyland don’t dress the same when it comes to Mickey wear and more. So which resort has visitors who wear more Disney inspired clothing and why do guests dress differently at Disney World and Disneyland?  Walt Disney World and Disneyland Guests Don’t Dress the Same, Here’s What We Noticed One of the great things about visiting both Walt Disney World and Disneyland is that the resorts and parks are different, so you get a very different experience when visiting one or the other. But the differences aren’t only what you can see and do in the parks, the style of the guests who visit each resort is also different.  So what’s different about Disneyland and Walt Disney World guest style? California weather has a couple of noticeable differences compared to Orlando: rain and humidity. Where it can rain at Walt Disney World on every day of your summer vacation, you’re unlikely to see any rain at all at Disneyland during the same time period. Plus, there is very little humidity at Disneyland Resort, which makes it much more comfortable to walk the parks (even in 90*F+ heat). Weather aside, there are quite a few things that we noticed when comparing the guests in the crowds of Disneyland versus the guests at Walt Disney World.  How Guest Style Differs Between Disneyland and Walt Disney World HeadwearOne of the most noticeable differences that really stands out (possibly because it is at eye level) is that there are far fewer Disney mouse ears and mouse headbands on guests at Disneyland versus Walt Disney World.  Disney-Branded ClothesSimilar to mouse ears and mouse ear headbands, there are also far fewer Disney clothes on guests at Disneyland. Whereas the majority of guests (on an average day) at Walt Disney World have some sort of Mickey wear on, it’s quite a different story at Disneyland. Mickey wear and Disney character clothes are in the minority. You do see some, of course, but the difference is noticeable. Along the same lines, there are far fewer couples, families and groups wearing matching Disney shirts as well. In fact, over the course of a week visiting both Disneyland parks daily, I saw two instances of matching Disney shirts.  FootwearWhen it comes to footwear, things are not dramatically different at Disneyland versus Walt Disney World, with one notable differences. We noticed far fewer Crocs on guests at Disneyland compared to what you tend to see at Walt Disney World. What Causes the Guest Style Differences Between Disneyland and Walt Disney World?It’s hard to say why Disneyland guests tends to be less decked out in Disney wear than guests at Walt Disney World. It may be that California residents are more fashion and style conscious and so they value personal style over Disney wear for their park visits. The fact that California weather is less humid and less rainy likely does not have an impact on outfit choices. If you're wondering if it's possible to fly to Walt Disney World with carry-on luggage only, the answer is yes. We share the top five benefits of doing carry-on only and how it's easy to pack for a week's vacation with carry-on only.Ever since Covid hit in 2020 and bag check became a universal nightmare at airports around the globe, we have never checked a bag again.We travel to Walt Disney World and Disneyland at least three times each year, plus we have had European vacations and more during this time and have not checked a single bag.For most airlines, you are allowed one free carry-on bag, plus one additional bag – like a backpack. This is an important part of the carry-on packing strategy, since the backpack can be a fallback for additional items that may not fit neatly into your carry-on.Five Reasons Why Should Only Do Carry-On on Your Disney Vacation1. Saves You MoneyThe first and easiest reason is that it typically saves you money when you go with carry-on bags only. Carry-on is less costly (usually free), so the savings increase with the size of your group. Airlines may soon charge for carry-on baggage, but for the time being, it’s usually going to save you money on checked baggage fees if you go with carry-on bags only.2. Forces You to Pack LightOverpacking is one of the worst habits of many travelers, and Disney travelers in particular can ten to overpack on Disney outfits. Remember, five to seven outfits is plenty. Even less if you will typically wear only two pairs of shorts for the week (for men at least). Shoes is also one of the biggest issues travelers have. I pack only one pair (and one pair of flip flops for pool time, but those are flat and don’t take up much room). So if you are a shoe person, try to limit yourself to two pairs maximum,3. Faster to Get out of the Airport at Orlando International Airport (MCO)When you land in Orlando, everyone is usually itching to get out of the airport and get to Walt Disney World as quickly as possible. The carry-on strategy is your biggest friend here as you will get to walk right by the crowds hovering around the baggage carousels waiting (im)patiently for their bags to arrive. If you go with carry-on baggage only, you can skip this time sucker altogether and be out of the airport and on your way to WDW an hour faster.4. Easier to Maneuver at the Airport, Hotel and EverywhereCarry-on bags are smaller, lighter and easier to maneuver. If you want to take great photos of your Disney outfits at Walt Disney World, there are five great spots that will consistently deliver exceptional photos for your social media feed or personal photo album. Want to be Disney fashion influencer? Here's how to get started with great Disney style photos.The Five Best Photo Spots at Walt Disney World to Show Off an Outfit What to Consider to Get the Best Photos of Your Disney Outfits at Disney WorldThe best time for photos under natural light is first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon (which generally will provide softer golden lighting. Overcast days and shaded areas are also great for providing picture perfect diffused and muted light. So if you are serious about getting a great photo for your social feed or to become a fashion/style influencer, get to your photo spot first thing in the morning. This will provide the best lighting and the lowest crowds. By going early, the lower crowds mean that, at worst, you can use AI great to remove one or two errant people in the photo. But beyond one or two people, it can get trickier. Unless you are going for the blurred crowd effect (which is something to try if you find yourself in that situation). Focal length, aperture and the distance to your subject can all affect how the final photo turns out. Plus, for scenic views you need to consider whether the background will be busy or uniform, and whether it will be blurred or more in focus. All of this makes a difference in your final photo. You can adjust much of this in post production using apps, but the more that you consider up front, the less work you will have to do later. Five of the Best Outdoor Scenic Photo Locations for Disney Style 1. Cinderella Castle As a classic icon, Cinderella Castle has several vantage points that are perfect for unique and stylized fashion shots. This does not include the standard head-on shot from Main Street (where the PhotoPass photographers are positioned). Look for a unique angle on either side of the castle, with some good spots towards the back.  2. Grand Floridian Resort Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort offers a ton of first rate outdoor photo spots. From sprawling green lawns, to great florals and tropical gardens, to beach photos and backgrounds of Seven Seas Lagoon, you can always find a great photo spot here. Of course, the white and red color palette of the majestic buildings are also picture perfect. 3. Disney Boardwalk The Walt Disney World Boardwalk has a number of options for unique and interesting fashion and style photos. From benches on the wooden boardwalk, to vistas of the Crescent Lake and the Yacht and Beach Club hotels in the distance, you will have the potential to get a ton of great shots here. If you are looking for that magical late afternoon golden hour sunlight, the Boardwalk area is perfect for that photo-friendly natural lighting. 4. EPCOT: Morocco Pavilion, France Pavilion, By the fence around to World Showcase LagoonWhile EPCOT has no shortage of first-rate photo opp locations for fashion and style photos, there are two or three that stand out as top picks to explore. At the very back of the Morocco Pavilion, you will find a wonderful location with great lighting, interesting backdrops and few crowds. Nearby in the France Pavilion is another great area where you can capture some fashion and style photos featuring the charm of old Europe. For the France area, you will need to go early in the day for the optimal nature light and the lowest crowds. Also in EPCOT, the blue water of World Showcase Lagoon can make a nice blurred background. Finding a location along the black iron rails next to the water can make for some excellent photos, assuming you time it right with the sun low in the sky or on an overcast day.  5. Animal Kingdom: Harambe Marketplace area, Animal Kingdom (Fichwa Fellow Wall, with Mickey Mouse, You are Most Beautiful wall) Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, the Harambe Marketplace are is filled with colorful backdrops and unique textures that can make for some excellent photo opps. The great thing about this area is that unlike some of the other popular Disney photo wall locations (which don’t have enough room to create distance between the camera, subject and backdrop), the Harambe area provides the perfect opportunity to set up for some great fashion photos. Planning Your Disney Fashion Photos in Advance is Worth the Effort Putting some thought into the photos before you take them will make a difference in the end result. The key to a great time is knowing what to pack and how to plan your days for the dog days of summer at Disney World.What to Pack for Walt Disney World in August 2024We spend a week at Walt Disney World every August and the lazy, hazy days of August require that you pack appropriately for the weather you’ll likely encounter. This means packing for heat, humidity and being prepared for lots of pop-up wet weather.Weather Forecast for Walt Disney World in August 2024The forecast for August 2024 at Walt Disney World includes the kind of oppressive heat and humidity that you pretty much expect in Orlando at this time of year. For August 2024, Orlando and Walt Disney World daytime highs should range from 90°F (32°C) to 93°F (34°C), while nighttime lows will hover around 79°F (26°C)  to 81°F (27°C). These temperatures do not include humidity/humidex, so be aware that it will feel much hotter than this on most days, likely into the 100°F+ range. During August at Walt Disney World, you don’t get much relief from the heat and humidity after dark. The humidity has a huge impact on both your overall stamina and the clothes that you wear, so pack wisely and accordingly.Another consideration to bear in mind always when visiting Walt Disney World in August is the potential for very active weather, including tropical storms and hurricanes. You can usually plan for these in advance, so be sure to check the local weather (on a local Orlando weather app) the day before you leave for your vacation. Packing for a Disney vacation isn't just about what to wear for the weather or fashion, there's also a fairly detailed Disney dress code that you need to know about.“Can I wear this outfit to Walt Disney World?”What You Can and Can’t Wear on Your Walt Disney World VacationChoosing your wardrobe for a Walt Disney World vacation is part of the anticipatory build-up to your departure day. But did you know that Disney World has a set of guidelines for what you cannot wear in Disney Parks and Resort properties?Part 1: This is a Family Park, So Dress AccordinglyDisney’s dress code for Walt Disney World begins with a general statement:Proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times. The parks are a casual, family-oriented environment. Ensuring that the parks are family-friendly is an important part of the Disney experience. In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense.This is a reminder that Disney takes seriously its reputation as a wholesome family destination. If you have a local non-Disney theme park, then you might know what it’s like to see certain attire that would never make it past the front entrance of a Disney Park.So if you’re wondering if a certain top or shorts will be allowed into a Disney Park, ask yourself if you’d consider it to be family friendly. That is the lens through which it will be viewed at the front gate.A Look at the Disney World Dress Code and GuidelinesThe next part of the Walt Disney World dress code gets a little more specific.Part 2: Inappropriate Attire for Walt Disney WorldIt’s not all left up to the discretion of Cast Members, as there are some specific guidelines. The Walt Disney World Dress Code clearly and plainly states that Cast Members can refuse entry, or kick you out of the park, if you are wearing anything that is inappropriate or that could detract from the experience of other guests.Specifically, the Disney dress code states:Attire that is not appropriate for the parks—and which may result in refusal of admittance—includes, but is not limited to:Costumes and costume masks, which may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older.Clothing with objectionable material, including obscene language or graphicsExcessively torn clothingClothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environmentClothing that touches or drags on the groundClothing with multiple layers is subject to search upon entryObjectionable tattoosCostume Exceptions Include:Specific Halloween and Christmas events*Some outfits inspired by Star Wars.* Note that Disney ticketed parties and events have their own specific dress codes, as does Galaxy’s Edge. So be sure to check those as well.There are also general rules that apply to the entire Walt Disney World property. It’s officially summertime at Walt Disney World and that means you’ll want to pay special attention to what you pack for a July Disney World vacation. All-over-print (AOP) apparel isn’t new, but the AOP design style has seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years. So, what makes a good all-over-print design and what are the best clothing items for all-over-print patterns? All items are not created equal, so here's what to watch for before you buy. Why are All-Over-Print Clothes Popular? All-over-print shirts give you the ability to really stand out and to make a subtle (or not so subtle) fashion statement. When it comes to subtle Disney clothing in particular, all-over-print designs are a really fun design process to explore.  AOP designs always have a big impact -- whether it’s bold or subtle -- because the design covers every inch of the fabric. We create all-over-print designs on everything from t-shirts and rash guards, to swimwear, skirts and dresses. You don’t often see AOP sweatshirts and hoodies, although it is possible to make them.  No matter the garment, all-over-print clothing can add flair to an overall look. One benefit that many people like is that AOP garments don’t draw the eye to any one specific spot. Since the print pattern is everywhere, there is no focus on a specific graphic or area of the shirt.  Still, all AOP patterns are not created equal and there is an elegance to creating a good AOP design pattern. It takes a savvy design eye and a lot of thought to create a great looking item. The Technical Aspects of a Good All-Over-Print Pattern The first thing to watch for is that the designer or manufacturer has taken the appropriate care in putting together a quality all-over-print design.  AI pattern makers have taken the industry by storm, but the majority of these platforms still do not excel at creating truly seamless tiles. This is critical if you care about the details (we care and you should too).  AOP patterns are usually made by repeating a single tile of the design so that when they are placed together like tiles on a wall, they will align seamlessly on all sides and the pattern will continue endlessly, with no visible seams or glitches. (Note: seamlessly refers to the design pattern and not the clothing…all clothing will have seams of kind.) So, pay close attention to this when buying an all-over-print garment. Did the designer or company pay close attention to these details? It’s something we are meticulous about here at 1923 Main Street. In addition to the technical aspects of seamless tiles, the pattern itself should also be attractive to the eye. Regardless of whether the design aims for symmetry or asymmetry, a pattern shouldn’t be jarring. There should be a natural pleasing flow to the design. Usually, it’s obvious to the eye when you look at something whether or not the seller has taken care in thinking through the desired look. If your initial reaction is jarring, that says it all. The Best Design Style for All-Over-Prints All-over-print patterns can be bold with large pattern elements, or subtle with smaller pattern elements. They can be bright and colorful, or duotone/monotone and far more subtle. Each of these styles serves a purpose and depending on what you’re looking for, they can all be appropriate choices.  Big Prints, Small Prints, Light Prints, Dark Prints… A Hawaiian shirt with big bright florals works well for the big and bold style, whereas a subtle and pale toile style (often monotone) pattern can work well for something like a skater dress or skirt.  The Best Clothing for All-Over-Print Patterns All-over-prints works very well on button-up shirts, dresses, skirts, swimsuits and occasionally t-shirts. You want to consider the pattern itself in all cases, as all-over-prints can become dated very quickly if they are not created with a more timeless design perspective in mind. All in all, all-over-print clothing can add a splash of style to your wardrobe and offer a different look than solid colors or geometrics and the classic graphic t-shirt or sweatshirt. Set in a luxurious setting on west side of Oahu, Disney’s Aulani Resort and Spa is wonderful Hawaiian getaway that’s unlike any other Disney destination. But packing for Aulani is very different than packing for Walt Disney World or Disneyland. Here's what you need to know.Disney Aulani: Not a Disney Parks Vacation Aulani offers a Hawaiian Disney vibe, with no theme parks or attractions to distract from the magic of this Polynesian destination.  The first thing to know is that what you pack and what you wear at Aulani is very different from what you would pack and wear for a Disney theme park resort vacation. Aulani is a Disney resort yes, but it’s not a Disney Parks resort, so your packing considerations will be quite different. Plus, you’ll likely do some island exploring around Oahu while you’re there, so consideration for the various micro-climates on the island is another important point to remember. Located in the town of Ko Olina on the southwest or leeward side of Oahu, Disney Aulani is located in a very upscale area, surrounded by other luxury resort destinations along with the natural beauty of the Hawaiian Islands. Aulani has much to offer on the resort property, but the nearby area and the island of Oahu are also must-dos when visiting.  If you plan to visit Aulani from May to September, it’s an ideal time to visit. Planning your wardrobe means considering a few factors. These include humidity, micro climates, upscale clothing or resort wear, your beach and swim attire and your casual wear. We like to visit Aulani for two weeks when we go, so we stay in a Disney Vacation Club Villa and take advantage of laundry facility. That makes packing a lot easier and a lot lighter, as you can do a little laundry halfway through your stay. No big deal.Three Packing Categories for Disney Aulani Resort and Spa When planning for what to pack and what to wear to Disney Aulani, consider putting your clothes into three categories: Resort Wear or Casual ChicFor dining out, relaxing around the resort and visiting neighboring hotels you’ll want to pack something that’s a little more upscale than your everyday casual wear. Swimwear or Beach WearPacking for Aulani takes a little more thought than packing for the pools at Walt Disney World or Disneyland. Beaches and pools can be your theme park, so you’re going to need more than just a single swimsuit. For time at the Aulani pools or beach, bring multiple options. Consider water slides, the cold water of the Aulani Rainbow Reef and offsite beaches – including surfing if you plan to do that. Casual WearCasual wear will still play a big role in what you pack for Disney Aulani. This is your everyday attire to wear around the resort and on day trips exploring the island of Oahu. Spending time at your Disney resort hotel pool is a must-do on your Walt Disney World (and Disneyland) vacation. Here's what to consider when packing your swim style for Walt Disney World resort hotel pools. How to Style Your Swimwear for Disney Resort Hotel Pools Not only are Disney hotel pools great guest amenities, they also help to provide a well-earned relaxing break from the energy and activity of the parks. Whether it’s to let your kids unwind and release some energy, or to allow yourself a little lounging time by the pool (perhaps with a snack and a cold drink), making time to visit Disney pools is something to make time for in your daily Disney vacation schedule. Disney Pool Style and Disney Pool Dress Codes Every onsite resort hotel at Walt Disney World has unique pools. Depending on the Disney resort, the theming is different and so is the vibe of the pool area. Most resorts have multiple pools, generally separating the louder pool-games-and-music pool from the quieter pool. What you plan to wear to the pool depends on your own personal style and possibly the particular resort.  There are no specific pool dress codes for Disney pools, other than the catch-all of “proper attire” for the resort (which gives Cast Members some room in the event that someone pushes things a little too far). Most guests dress with common sense. One-piece swimsuits and bikinis are common, as are board shorts. It is rare that we have seen anything bordering on what may be offensive to some. What you wear to the pool also depends on what you plan to do at the pool. Not everyone who goes to a Disney pool is there to swim.  For many Disney hotel guests, relaxing in the warm weather on a lounger with a drink in hand and a good book will do just fine (with maybe a quick walk in the zero-entry area to cool off). For others, it’s multiple trips to the water slide or taking part in pool games for the younger guests. So plan your swim attire accordingly. A swimsuit cover up is also another piece of fashion attire that is often seen at Disney pools. So if you plan to go in style to the Courtyard Pool at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, have some fun and consider your complete outfit. Speaking of specific pools, it’s also worth considering that many pool decks (such as slide pools at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Wilderness Lodge) tend to be very overcrowded during busy times of year. Pools like these are undersized for the resort, so it may be hard to find seating and it may not be very relaxing if your intention is to, well, relax and not swim. Subtle Disney Swimwear and Disney-Themed Swimsuits As you would expect, Disney hotel pools are the perfect place to wear your Disney-themed swimsuit, or subtle Disney swimwear. Packing for your Walt Disney World vacation doesn't have to be stressful or overthought. In fact, it can be fun to pick your Disney outfits and clothes to match your vacation plans and what time of year you're traveling to Disney World.The Ultimate Packing List for Walt Disney WorldIf you're flying to Walt Disney World, one of the first things to consider is whether you plan to check a large suitcase or simply go with carry-on. Obviously a larger suitcase will give you more space and you can bring more stuff. But is that a wise move even if you have the space? If you're traveling with kids, then that means you'll have a few more things to pack. If they're old enough to have their own kid-size suitcase, then that can help. Otherwise, you may be to bring a checked bag or two. Another important factor is whether you plan to stay onsite in a Disney Vacation Club Villa. Having access to a washer/dryer makes it a lot easier to pack light. There's a lot of attention paid to what to wear in the parks at Walt Disney World, but what about the rest of the time on your vacation?  While some Disney guests do spend most of their time in the parks, there are many who don't. Even if you do make Disney Parks the majority of your time, you probably won't want to wear the same clothes to dinner after a hot and steamy day pounding the pavement in a park. What to Consider for Non-Park Outfits at Walt Disney World We call the non-Disney-Parks fashion Disney resort wear. These are the clothes you wear around the resort of Walt Disney World Resort, including your resort hotel, when you're not in the parks. Obviously for many guests, it's one and the same. They put on one set of clothes each morning and that's what they wear all day, no matter where they go or what they're doing. If that's you, then this post is probably not for you. But, if you like to dress for the occasion or you simply don't want to be in your sweaty park clothes during a nice table service meal, that's where resort wear considerations come into play (we've covered what to wear in Disney Parks in other episodes and posts). Top Picks for Walt Disney World Non-Parks Resort Wear Non-parks resort wear at Walt Disney World allows you to add a little style and flair to your travel wardrobe. While Disney Parks wear really should consider function or form, your Disney resort wear can flip the script and give style the upper hand (of course functional attire is always a wise decision on vacation).  Unless you're dining at Victoria and Albert's, you probably won't have to consider a specific dress code when packing, but depending on what you plan to do and the time of year of your vacation, it's worth putting a little thought into your attire for outside of the parks. For men, this can mean a nicer pair of shorts and a button-up collared short sleeve shirt or two. This is a great simple outfit that you can wear just about anywhere and be comfortable and in style at the same time. For women, a sundress or two, perhaps themed to your resort, will make a perfect addition to your Disney vacation packing list. They're flexible enough for multiple occasions and activities beyond the parks at Walt Disney World. For example, are you planning to have a cocktail and light dinner at the Enchanted Rose lounge, or an evening meal at California Grill? You might want to pack something resort fashionable for those occasions. Ditch the day-worn park wear and freshen up the vibe for your non-park time. It can make a difference in how you feel and put you at ease during your less hectic off time. Now, if you're planning to do certain other activities outside of the parks, you will have to plan accordingly for those. For example, horseback riding at Fort Wilderness will require some consideration for what you plan to wear. April is a transition month at Walt Disney World. With spring weather coming into full force and the continuation of the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival there are a few things to consider if you're visiting Walt Disney World in April  April tends to feel less crowded than March, with Spring Break crowds diminishing. There are no major holidays or events in April that will dramatically affect crowds. While temperatures look like they're getting more consistently warm in April, the spring showers are also more likely to make an appearance. Weather Forecast for Walt Disney World, April 2024 What should you pack and what should you wear for a Walt Disney World vacation in April?  Spring is well on its way in April at Walt Disney World that means daytime highs in the 80s and night time lows in the 70s. For April 2024, the long-term forecast looks to be in line with this, with a few 90s in there and a few upper 60s nights. All in all, you probably don't need any cool weather clothing for your April Disney World vacation. So unless you like to wear a light jacket or jeans even when it's warm, you can safely save some valuable packing space and leave those items at home. What to Pack for an April Disney World Vacation The long-range forecast for Walt Disney World in April also looks to be surprisingly dry. This is great, but in Florida rain can brew up at any moment, so always check the seven-day weather forecast on the day before you leave for your Walt Disney World vacation to see what the latest forecast says.
