Calmly Coping

Calmly Coping is an actionable self-improvement podcast for overthinkers with high-functioning anxiety. I'm your host, Tati Garcia, and I'm a licensed counselor specializing in anxiety treatment & a coach specializing in high-functioning anxiety. Do you appear calm and collected on the outside, but on the inside you are struggling, doubting, and overthinking? Calmly Coping is not about fixing you, it's about uncovering the amazing person that is already there (and that you are just too afraid to let out). If you are struggling with feeling stuck in life, overthinking and over-analyzing things, putting way too much pressure on yourself, difficulty relaxing, trouble staying focused, and struggling with self-doubt, then this podcast is for you. I release new bite-size and evidence-based episodes once weekly with my top tips and techniques for coping with and decreasing anxiety while helping you feel more confident, have improved relationships and communication skills, and have better focus and performance.

When you’re high-achieving, it can be easy to attach your self-worth to your accomplishments, and this includes the external validation you receive as a result of these accomplishments. This can look like only feeling good about yourself when you receive compliments, positive feedback, or any type of validation. The problem with this is that it leaves you in a roller coaster of ups and downs: feeling good when things are going well, and feeling worthless when they aren’t. In this episode, you’ll learn how to STOP relying on external validation so you can increase your worth (and confidence) from within.   In this episode, you will learn: How relying on external validation negatively impacts your self-worth 8 tips to help you stop seeking external validation Practical action steps that will result in increased self-worth   ——————— Calmly Coping is a self-improvement podcast for high achievers who struggle with high-functioning anxiety to help you feel more calm, balanced, and confident from within. ———————   ▶️ Watch the Free Training: Achieve a Calm Mind, Balanced Life, and Empowered Confidence in 90 Days: ****https://calmlycoping.com/workshop   💬 Submit a message, question, or suggestion to the podcast: https://calmlycoping.com/message   ———————   Want more?   👩🏽‍💻 Work with me: My mission is to help you decrease your anxiety, declutter your mind, and say hello to a life of calm and balance.  Learn more about my coaching, therapy, and course offerings here: https://becalmwithtati.com/work-with-me   👥 Join the Calmly Coping Group: The free supportive community for high-achievers with high-functioning anxiety. Your intuition is the inner voice that just knows, without having to reason consciously. It’s the gut feeling, the sense that you know what decision to make or when something (or someone) just doesn’t feel right. It’s not magic, but a product of your unconscious mind processing past information and experience. But sometimes anxiety can feel like a gut feeling, the fear that “something doesn’t feel right” or “I don’t want to do this thing because I’m afraid” can be easily confused for intuition. In this episode, I’ll be diving into how you can discern your intuition from anxiety so you can listen to your needs and make the best decisions you can in the moment.   In this episode, you will learn: The characteristics of anxiety-driven thoughts What exactly your intuition is and what you can use it for 5 practical tips to help you effectively discern between your anxiety and intuition   My 5 Minute Journaling Trick for Anxiety & Overwhelm: https://www.becalmwithtati.com/journal-for-anxiety/    Source: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/basics/intuition   ——————— Calmly Coping is a self-improvement podcast for high achievers who struggle with high-functioning anxiety to help you feel more calm, balanced, and confident from within. ———————   📝 Take the Free High-Functioning Anxiety Quiz: http://hfaquiz.com   🎓 Learn more about The Calm & Ambitious Membership: https://www.calmandambitious.com/   🖊️ Join the waitlist for my 1:1 services: http://calmlycoping.com/waitlist   💬 Submit a message, question, or suggestion to the podcast: https://calmlycoping.com/message   ——————— Want more?   👩🏽‍💻 Work with me: My mission is to help you decrease your anxiety, declutter your mind, and say hello to a life of calm and balance.  Learn more about my coaching, therapy, and course offerings here: https://becalmwithtati.com/work-with-me   👥 Join the Calmly Coping Group: The free supportive community for high-achievers with high-functioning anxiety. This is a guided affirmations exercise for perfectionism to help you overcome your all-or-nothing ways of thinking if you struggle with a fear of failure, making mistakes, procrastinating, overthinking things, and being hard on yourself because of the desire for perfection in everything you do. When repeated regularly, positive affirmations help to rewire your brain and effectively change the way you think so you can overcome the limiting beliefs that go along with perfectionism. This will allow you to think more positively so you can stop self-sabotaging, feel more confident in yourself and your abilities, and begin thriving. I suggest listening to this daily for 30 days to get the most benefit and rewire your thinking.   Related episodes: Positive affirmations for calm, relaxation, and confidence (for overachievers): https://www.becalmwithtati.com/positive-affirmations/  Affirmations for confidence and self-worth (for high-achievers): https://www.becalmwithtati.com/affirmations-for-confidence/    ++++++++ Calmly Coping is a self-improvement podcast for high achievers who struggle with high-functioning anxiety to help you feel more calm, balanced, and confident from within. ++++++++   ENROLL IN CRUSH YOUR PERFECTIONISM: https://www.becalmwithtati.com/crush-your-perfectionism/   SUBMIT A MESSAGE, QUESTION, COMMENT OR SUGGESTION TO THE PODCAST: https://calmlycoping.com/message   Want more?   WORK WITH ME: My mission is to help you decrease your anxiety, declutter your mind, and say hello to a life of calm and balance.  Learn more about my coaching, therapy, and course offerings here: https://becalmwithtati.com/work-with-me   JOIN THE CALMLY COPING GROUP: The free supportive community for high-achievers with high-functioning anxiety.
