How long is your to do list?  Have you done that thing you’ve been meaning to do all day, or maybe you haven’t got round to it for weeks?  Whether it’s finding a plumber, booking the dentist or getting your car fixed. All these never-ending tasks can suck the joy out of life.  Academic and Mum, Elizabeth Emens became so fascinated with the subject she has studied how different people deal with “Life Admin” and has written a book about it.   “The Art of Life Admin: How to do less, do it better, live more” is a fascinating look at how this unseen form of work creeps into our lives and takes up our precious free time.  And unsurprisingly the burden of it often falls on women.   The good news is, Elizabeth has lots of tips and tricks to help you get organised and get it done in less time, so you can get on with things you actually enjoy! elizabethemens.com twitter.com/ElizFEmens instagram.com/lizemens Stay in touch... facebook.com/howshedoesitpodcast instagram.com/how_she_does_it twitter.com/HowShe_Doesit

This one’s about work.   Whether you’re a working mum or dad looking for the right work-life balance, a mum returning to the workplace after maternity leave or you’re someone who wants to move up the career ladder but isn’t quite sure how.  Zena Everett has the answers. Zena used to be a recruiter so she knows how companies think. She also knows how they SHOULD be thinking in order to recruit the best people - particularly parents. As a mum of two, Zena gets why parents need work that’s flexible. Here she explains the traps some working mums fall into like squeezing a five days of work into four and being too grateful for simply having a job in the first place.  Oh and don’t be the one who takes the tea-towels home for a wash! zenaeverett.com Zena's Books Stay in touch... facebook.com/howshedoesitpodcast instagram.com/how_she_does_it twitter.com/HowShe_Doesit

What’s it like getting up well before the crack of dawn every day to present on breakfast TV and then go home and do all the mad rushing around that’s part of being a mum? Jacquie Beltrao knows this routine very well.  The former Olympic gymnast has been working for Sky News for the last 25 years and for the last 20, she’s been a mum of three. It hasn’t been easy, Jacquie has fought hard to keep her career on track in a fiercely competitive industry.  She’s also fought breast cancer which she says has given her the courage to do things she’d never have dreamed of before.
