High Quality Short Filmmaking with Ryan Camp
Ryan Camp Films has a notable vast library of video tutorials online. When you search how to’s for audio, mics, videos and filmmaking, his videos usually come up on the first page. There’s a good reason for that, he’s really good at explaining things so the non-experts understand. That’s because expert’s are not the ones who search for help and Ryan knows that. Join a gripping, fun and inspiring conversation with myself and Ryan discussing what you can do to make better short films, and perhaps better feature films, too. Ryan uses Adobe Premier for editing and shares some tips for the post production process.  In Episode 169 recorded December 8, Ryan and I discuss two of his short films. 2AM was shot with iPhone and was part of the International Mobile Film Festival in San Diego. Trophies was shot with a DSLR. Ryan shoots and stars in both films.  SBP Podcast Mobile Filmmaking: The Voice of Mobile Film™ is for everyone who ever wanted to or is curious about making movies and videos using smartphones.  Do you enjoy our free podcast? Fade In To Film: New Tech for Smartphone Filmmakers and Sound Design
Episode 160 is our bi-weekly panel discussion. This episode was recorded September 27, 2023. The iPhone 15 Pro has features that can help you meet the criteria to qualify getting your feature film into Netflix, and maybe win an Oscars. Fade In To Film: Your Brand and Filmmaking
Episode 156 is our biweekly panel discussion. This episode was recorded August 30, 2023. We tackle a few topics with our panelists, but we begin with Levi’s well informed message, as a union member, about the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes and how they affect indie filmmakers. We discuss what self branding implies and the shift it’s taken for creators, artists and filmmakers during the popularity of social media. This topic led us to discuss self-distribution as an individual and as a community. Could community distribution be the next new thing for indie filmmakers and creators? I share a bit about white label OTT streaming distribution. We congratulate Levi Austin Morris for winning an award for his mobile feature film, Paralysis. And Ryan McDonald shares his upcoming film festival in Ogden, Utah.
