Jim Kwik On How To Have a Limitless Brain and Increase Your Brain Power
We make mistakes, but mistakes don't have to make us. There's no failure, there's only failure to learn something from those mistakes. Sometimes we get stuck, because we won't take a chance on something, because we're afraid of looking bad. Some people will take a class on coding or speed reading, and if they're not good at it the first time, they don't want to look bad in front of other people. I want to encourage people to make their own mistakes and then learn from them, that's how we grow. I don't know one strong person that had an easy life. My biggest challenge was learning and now that became my strength.  Jim was once known as the “boy with the broken brain.” A childhood head injury at age five left him struggling in school. "I think we're in the midst of some new macro trends. For the past two years there's only been two macro trends: digital identity, or profile picture collections, and generative artwork, both are favored by the market. I think that the data shows that those are the only two areas that are truly favored by the market. If you look at how much liquidity has gone into those two areas of NFTs, it's really hard to make a case for anything else being a true macro trend. If you look at Bored Ape Yacht Club there's literally 713K+ ETH worth of secondary market volume. Doodles, another 160K ETH. That's billions of dollars in these collections. If you look at Chromie Squiggle, a generative art project, there are 60K ETH of secondary market volume. There's a belief that generative art is going to be a big movement in our history, and that buying these is buying the foundational early pieces that will eventually be priceless, similar to a Picasso."
