Jeffrey Ray Hayes is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer living in the Austin area of Central Texas. He began his career doing pen and ink art and magazine layout work for Austin-based table-top gaming companies. Jeff also spent time working as a commercial artist and display designer for a Texas-based grocery company in the 1980s until he made a career change. He has served for 30 years as a police officer until his retirement in 2019 at the rank of assistant police chief. Brad Guigar has been a professional cartoonist for over 20 years. Guigar's graphic novel series, “Evil Inc” (https://www.evil-inc.com), is about a corporation that is run by supervillains.  Guigar is considered to be a webcomics pioneer, having self-published his daily strips and other comics on the Web since February 2000. He has been nominated for the highest honor in comics — the Eisner award — for “Phables,” a year-and-a-half-long weekly series of comics about life in Philadelphia. He has published over two dozen collections of his comics, and he is the author of three books on the subject of cartooning: “The Everything Cartooning Book,” “How To Make Webcomics,” and “The Webcomics Handbook.” Along with his friend, Dave Kellett, he hosts the weekly podcast, ComicLab, which is about to celebrate its 200th episode. He operates a daily tutorial-and-advice site, Webcomics.com, and he teaches Storytelling at University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Brad lives in Philadelphia with his wife, Caroline, and two sons.
