Organizational Transformation Using Assessments
Does your business need a people strategy? The DISCy Chicks are baaack following a summer break! Season 5's theme is how you as a leader or CEO of your business can strategically use assessments to enable organization-wide success with your employees, customers, and vendors. Cindy and Martha are zooming out this season to take a strategic look at how assessments can help you run the people side of your business.Do you have communication systems in place to ensure an effective flow of company information to and from your employees?  Do you have solutions in place to guide your hiring and how you strategically build  a high functioning team?  What if something goes wrong (and it will): your sales representative offends your best client, your star employee has fallen from stardom, or that vendor that is not getting products that you desperately need when you need them.   What do you do when there is conflict between important team members? Assessments can help you build a framework to handle your people issues during critical touchpoints in your business lifecycle. We are thinking BIG this season and we invite your questions and comments.discychicksbizhelpconsulting Marthaforlines beliefsysteminstitute

Emotional Intelligence and Leadership
Show NotesCindy and Martha share their wisdom about EQ and leadership. High performance is the hallmark for leaders with high emotional intelligence. So, what does this look like? Effective leaders are trustworthy and show up in a consistent, reliable way and can relate to people that are different from them by meeting each employee where they are. They are also relatable and able to poke fun at themselves. Leaders with high EQ make a point to know their team members and give each employee what they need to be motivated and engaged at work. discychicks cindyjacobybizhelpconsulting Marthaforlines beliefsysteminstitute

What is Motivation in Emotional Intelligence?
Cindy and Martha walk you through the Emotional Intelligence domain of motivation. Being motivated by the work itself goes beyond just your paycheck. Some might describe it as your passion. Either way, this results in intrinsic satisfaction. If you don't receive that handful of driving forces, it can lead to lack of engagement and your performance may suffer. Tips to help you find more motivation at work are shared in this episode as well. So, how is your motivation at work? Video recording on FaceBookcindy jacobybizhelp consultingMartha Forlinesbelief system institute

Emotional Intelligence- Your Relationship with Others
The Chicks, Cindy and Martha, address the  elements of emotional intelligence as it relates to others in the form of  social awareness and social regulation. Social awareness has two primary components, the ability to show empathy, like being able to walk a mile in someone else's shoes. The second component is being able to read the room during a team meeting or a larger group scenario, which means paying attention to the verbal and nonverbal responses of others. Social regulation pertains to being able to influence the emotional clarity of others to manage relationships effectively and create a network of followers. Tips are shared on how to grow in these two dimensions of EQ as well. discychicks cindyjacobybizhelpconsulting Marthaforlines beliefsysteminstitute

Unique look at DISC- sideways!
The Chicks have gone live on Facebook! We do our best to describe the visuals in the video, so if you are listening to our podcast  and want to see us as we record, visit DISCy Chicks Podcast on Facebook. The DISCy Chicks turn the DISC graph on its side.  Instead of talking about high and low, we talk about DISC factors on a continuum - right to left.  As humans, we are innately searching to improve and when you a low score on your DISC graph, you may look at that as a deficiency (which it certainly is NOT).  Turning the graph sideways, removes the distraction in the back of one's mind of "Gosh, I really need to raise my D score."Listen and learn how each style behaves when their scores are left or right of center rather thank above or below  the 50% mark on the graph. DISCy Chicks FaceBook - Today's episode DISCy Chicks Website Cindy Jacoby FaceBook PageBizHelp ConsultingMartha ForlinesBelief System Institute
