Onboarding with Assessments- Employee Lifecycle PT 3
The DISCy Chicks talk about assessments that can boost the bonding process for you and your new employee. Why wait 90 days to see how your new hire is fitting in? We recommend on Day 1 that the manager review new hire's  assessment with with hime or her and  even better, to review the manager's report too. You can merge both reports into a  comparison report to show the new employee's DISC profile as well as the manager's report, side by side. There is also the "gap report" produced during  the job benchmarking process that indicates a new hire's strengths for the role as well as areas of development. And finally, we recommend updating your team report to include the new hire and share in a team meeting to see where and how the new team member fits in, and what he or she brings to the party! Listen to the podcast at DISCYCHICKS.COM or watch our uncut video on the DISCyChicksPodcast. discychicks.comcindyjacoby bizhelpconsulting.commarthaforlines.combeliefsysteminstitute

Part 2- How DISC, Motivators and EQ work together
Join Cindy and Martha as they continue their discussions about the Trimetrics EQ assessment and how  to the value add to you as a leader this report. It combines Driving Forces, DISC Behaviors, and Emotional Intelligence...all in one report. We walk you through a unique way of using this report. The reality is we may be triggered at work when someone says something to us that goes against our primary driving forces. As a leader, how do you learn to control your emotions in the moment when this happens? You react, in this example to the dissonance with your value based motivators, then your behavior takes over, unless you learn how to manage yourself by flexing your EQ muscles with better self-awareness and self-regulation. Maintaining your leadership composure is important so you behave in ways that maintain credibility and trust with your employees. Enjoy! discychicks.comcindyjacoby bizhelpconsulting.commarthaforlines.combelief system institute

What is Adaptive Behavior
What is Adaptive Behavior?Listen as the DISCy Chicks help you understand the importance of your adaptive behavior at work. The truth is we all adapt our behavior at times and particularly when we are at work, not so much at home with family and friends. Our DISC Behavior assessment provider, TTISI has developed a patented method for both a natural behavior style profile to show we communicate at home as well as how we adapt our behavior style at work. We adapt our behavior primarily because of the nature of the work we do and to also "fit in" to the culture of the business. Let Cindy and Martha walk you through an example of someone that adapts their profile at work and the why's behind this need to adapt. As a leader, understanding this information enables you to best support each member of your team to perform successfully. https://www.discychicks.com/cindyjacoby bizhelpconsulting.commarthaforlines.combeliefsysteminstitute

Why Bother with Workplace Assessments?
The client question that inspired this episode: "How can I get others to see the value in taking these assessments?" The DISCy Chicks  went to the experts in leadership development...John Maxwell, Steven Covey, Daniel Goleman, and Tony Robbins to help them answer this question.  Cindy and Martha share with you the themes from the masters such as  the importance of self-awareness, self-confidence, agility, and humility. Other competency themes are to seek first to understand, listen to understand (rather than to respond), and adopt a growth mindset. The workplace assessments that the DISCy Chicks have been highlighting over the past two years are excellent tools to enable the development of the leadership competencies that these four experts say are essential for success! discychickscindy jacobybizhelp consultingMartha Forlinesbelief system institute

Is "Quiet Quitting"a thing?
The latest buzzword in business performance seems to be Quiet Quitting.  The DISCy Chicks did their research to see if this was really a thing.  Quiet Quitting seems a lot like an employee engagement issue, so we went straight to the experts at Gallup to see what they say.Listen in as the Chicks talk about this trend in the workforce in the U.S.  Did you know that 50% of the workforce, according to Gallup, is not engaged. Is this the same as Quite Quitters?  The DISCy Chicks reveal their results.Employees who are not engaged mentally or psychologically with their work, and just doing only what is required of their job. This should be raising great concern for leaders of any business! There is another category called actively disengaged. It's those employees that are very verbal about their discontent and spreading their misery with their co-workers, which is 18% of employees. This leaves 32% of your employees truly engaged in their work. Listen to the suggestions offered by Martha and Cindy to help you identify and re-engage any quiet quitters you might have. One of our solutions includes assessments that can enable you to discover the relative engagement of your employees to then determine a path forward for higher engagement and productivity discychickscindy jacobybizhelp consultingMartha Forlinesbelief system institute

Organizational Transformation Using Assessments
Does your business need a people strategy? The DISCy Chicks are baaack following a summer break! Cindy and Martha are zooming out this season to take a strategic look at how assessments can help you run the people side of your business.Do you have communication systems in place to ensure an effective flow of company information to and from your employees?  Do you have solutions in place to guide your hiring and how you strategically build  a high functioning team?  What if something goes wrong (and it will): your sales representative offends your best client, your star employee has fallen from stardom, or that vendor that is not getting products that you desperately need when you need them.   What do you do when there is conflict between important team members? Assessments can help you build a framework to handle your people issues during critical touchpoints in your business lifecycle. We are thinking BIG this season and we invite your questions and comments.discychicksbizhelpconsulting Marthaforlines beliefsysteminstitute

Show NotesCindy and Martha share their wisdom about EQ and leadership. High performance is the hallmark for leaders with high emotional intelligence. So, what does this look like? Effective leaders are trustworthy and show up in a consistent, reliable way and can relate to people that are different from them by meeting each employee where they are.
