Wine-Pro Tip from @Telesomm Christopher: When it comes to drinking wine in general, I hear people say I can’t drink red wine because the sulfite gives me a red wine headache but they’ll grab a bottle of pinot grigio or Chardonnay. My knowledge bomb is white wines have more sulfites than red wines. If you get a headache from red wine it is probably not the sulfites. Tesh Diyal’s roots in hospitality can really be traced back to his mom. His restaurant experience however, started from his time working at Morton’s the Steakhouse. Tesh moved on to other restaurants in California, including Piatti, Ella Dining Room and Bar, and then he graduated to become the Sommelier at the Kitchen for almost 4 years. Tesh then transitioned into wine sales to focus on growing his family, and after a year of selling wine to restaurants, he found himself furloughed due to the pandemic. That leads to now! Tesh is excited to put wines in front of you, your friends, and you family that you may not have or even known about before! His goal truly is to bridge the gap between good people and good wine! In this Between the Chapters episode, the the 25 Years of Ed Tech, Laura talks with Laura Gibbs, Brenna Clarke Gray, and Caroline Kuhn about Chapter 9: The Learning Management System (LMS). The panel of this episode rejects how the LMS is not “linky” and how closed LMS constrains both the learner and educator from engaging online. But we also caution against how this LMS hub has grown since 2002 in its role for digital teaching and learning for higher ed institutions to also expand into a repository for data collection, learning analytics, and surveillance.
