We are back to monthly as of March of 2023. We cover varying topics that fall under the category of respecting human life. This includes topics related to abortion, assisted suicide, religious freedom, capital punishment, immigration and persons with disabilities. Each episode features an interview with someone personally involved in the issue and a call to action on how to get involved.

This month's episode features an interview with Magalia, which highlights her sad experience with an abortion center, and the positive work that a pregnancy care center did for her during her pregnancy, and continues to do for her years after the birth of her child. This is the 11th episode in our series from the Office for Respect Life Ministries called  Being Pro Life. This is Part two of a two part episode on Capital Punishment.  Part Two features an interview with Bill Pelke, a man whose grandmother was brutally murdered by a group of teens, one of whom was sentenced to death, at only 16 years old. Bill talks about his conversion experience against the death penalty, and how the young woman's sentence was ultimately changed to life in prison. It ends with ways you can get involved with his organization, Journey of Hope, which helps families of murder victims find healing through love and forgiveness, rather than death. This revision clarifies that Death Penalty Action is the name of the local organization where Abe Bonowitz and Scott Langley work. It also invites people to write the Ohio Governor without presuming his current position on the issue. Support the show

She was a victim of domestic violence as a young child, and continued to be abused in her adult relationships as well. Bob talks with Jill about her experience caring for her mother with dementia and other medical issues, and how difficult it can be to get good care for an elderly patient if a strong advocate cannot be there 24/7. This is an example of when palliative care can be very useful, even if the patient does not have a terminal illness. Jill also discusses the importance of families discussing care options with their aging parents before the need arises, so decisions do not have to be made under such emotionally charged circumstances.Support the show
