82. Doubt is Not an Obstacle
Who’s doubting themselves these days? Are you saying me, me, me, me? Doubt pops when you begin to wonder if you are in the right relationship, picked the right career, doing a good job as a parent, or asking yourself if you should leave that organization you’ve been with forever. Doubt has a funny way of creeping into your life at the exact moment you don’t want it to because that it’s job. Doubt wants you to check yourself. Doubt wants to keep you safe. And doubt is really good at reminding you of all the other times you wanted to question things in your life and make a change because doubt is the way your brain keeps you safe and doing the comfortable things in your life. In this episode, I teach you that doubt isn't a obstacle, how you can recognize it quickly, and then leverage it to empower yourself to get what what you want.Get after it my friends and we’ll see you next week! For links to everything mentioned in this episode and more visit:https://www.jasonramsden.com/episode82

73. Change is Inevitable; Growth is Optional
The curious thing about growth and change is that literally one thought or one action can change your life. 70. Knowing When it's Time to Pivot in Life
How do you know when it is time to pivot? Whether it’s a job, a relationship, your emotional health, your physical health, or whatever else might drive you to seek change in your life the pivot always seems to come out of nowhere. But does it really? How can you determine whether a pivot is needed in your life right now?For me it was an aha moment when working with my coach. I hadn’t been experiencing the growth in my business that I had expected and one of the things my coach said to me is that you don’t fully believe it is done. You are not working on the thoughts and feelings you have about being an entrepreneur. And you’re definitely not focused on your beliefs about what is holding you back. And just like that I was at a pivot point. Okay, maybe it wasn’t just like that. It took about 8 months of work to get to the pivot but when you have an AHA moment it always seems like it comes from out of the blue. 69. Being Intentionally Curious
So how does being intentionally curious work? The work I have been doing on myself with my own coach has been about being intentionally curious about my thoughts. About the things that are holding me back from having the life I am meant to have and the business I am destined to build. Being curious is what I bring my clients and to you each week. Everything I am working on myself is shared on this show in the hope it will provide you with a sense that you are not alone, that you are part of a bigger group of people all wanting to live their best lives. All wanting to let go and move on. At the end of the day, wee are not people who are drifting trying to find ourselves. No, we are people who are intentionally working to create ourselves. 66. Doing the Work to Improve Your Life
Here are 3 things you can do today to improve your life right now (listen for the other 7 ;-)1. Focus on the here and now - As humans we spend a great deal of time replaying past situations or worrying about the future. Focusing on right now plays such a key role in improving our lives. When you focus on right now you spend brain energy on experiencing life in the moment which is 100% more enjoyable than wasting energy on past events or worrying about future events that haven’t taken place and might not ever happen.2. Be grateful, and pass it on - If you are not practicing gratitude on a daily basis you are missing out. I know, you might say I don’t have anything to be grateful for today. And, I say go deeper. Do you have your health? Do you have food on the table? What about a roof over your head? Sometimes reframing what we have in our lives – rather than what we don’t have – we find we are grateful for more than we realized.3. Go to bed earlier tonight - I can hear it now...but I’m a night owl. I hear you AND I used to be the same way. Getting at least 7.5 hours of sleep goes a long way to improving your life. When you have a consistent bedtime, over time you will start to see that you will rise before your alarm. The key here is consistency -- be consistent and try hitting the sack a little earlier.Get after it my friends and we’ll see you next week! For links to everything mentioned in this episode and more visit:https://www.jasonramsden.com/episode66

61. The Truth About Mistakes
Our brains LOVE to focus on the negative. The mistakes we make. The miscues we have. And in reality, this is what our brain is supposed to do — protect us so we learn from our errors. But learning from our errors doesn’t mean we stay focused on the mistakes we make. When you focus on what you did well, or what worked first — before focusing on the mistakes and miscues — you are training your brain to leverage the positives in every single situation. Even the ones where you think you did something wrong, made a mistake, or where you weren’t happy with the result. By going to what worked first, your brain will learn how best to intuit positive thinking in the future.Positive thinking leads to positive feelings which lead to positive results in your life.
