17 Yavapai County Residents Graduate from DEA Phoenix 2nd Citizen's Academy
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Phoenix Field Division Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Cheri Oz is pleased to announce the graduation of 17 Yavapai County community members from the DEA Phoenix Field Division Citizen’s Academy. Prescott's Christmas Parades are Taking Applications
Organizers of Prescott’s popular Christmas parades, the Prescott Downtown Partnership’s Holiday Light Parade, and the Prescott Christmas Parade are now accepting applications for parade entries. Both parades are held in downtown Prescott and route around the Courthouse Plaza. The Prescott Downtown Partnership’s 25th Holiday Light Parade will be held Saturday, November 26th starting at 6pm and after the parade all floats and entries go to the Mile High Middle School for a huge bonfire celebration. Yavapai College Women's Soccer Scores Win in Overtime
Sophomore forward AJ Jones played hero on Tuesday night, Sept 20th in YC's 1-0 overtime victory on the road against the Mesa Community College Thunderbirds. Jones' overtime goal gave the Roughriders their third win in a row and moved their overall record to 4-4 and conference record to 3-0. After 90 minutes of scoreless soccer, the Roughriders and Thunderbirds headed into overtime where the periods are 10 minutes and the first goal scored wins the match. Prescott City Council to Review Top City Hall Redevelopment Bidders
On Tuesday, October 18 at 1 p.m., Prescott City Council will hold a special meeting to review the top two bidders for potential redevelopment of the current Prescott City Hall site. At the meeting, they will review a staff presentation, then select the winning bid. The two finalists are Stroh Architecture and Silo Holdings. Bradshaw Mountain Football Can’t Climb Out of Early Hole in Loss to Buckeye
The Bradshaw Mountain High School Bears football team was unable to claw back from an early deficit as the team allowed three touchdowns to the Buckeye Hawks in the first quarter of a 34-22 loss in Prescott Valley on Saturday evening.
