Pothead Parent was founded in 2021 by Melissa Fogarty and Derek Fogarty, husband and wife. Family of 4. The company was launched when Melissa and her husband decided to use plants to help people, treating them as medicine or a helpful tool. Derek Fogarty is a 35-year-old Marine Corps combat Veteran, Entrepreneur, husband and dad of 2 boys. Born and raised in Buffalo, New York. Derek founded this company with his wife Melissa Fogarty back in 2021 after long thoughts about how they could find ways to help the world through the benefits cannabis has to offer. Before all this, he worked in the automotive industry for about 15 years. During that time, he also joined the Marine Corps infantry from 2009–2015. He was a 0311 rifleman, grunt, with a combat deployment to Marjah Afghanistan in 2010-2011. Of course, with a background like that, trauma is usually involved along with substance and pill abuse. A weight like that on your shoulders will depress your growth and quality of life. We’ve all seen it through friends, family, etc. Out of all options, doctors and so-called specialists advised, it ended up being Cannabis that helped Derek with his recovery to a better life. But extensive research and patient studies enabled him to unlock this intelligence to find his benefit through Cannabis. Derek’s goal is also to help fellow veterans replace unnecessary pills and harmful meds from their medicine cabinetry and substitute them with helpful cannabis plants that will help them grow beyond their pain and trauma. Also, read – Covid cases in China increase after mass testing. Melissa ‘Missy’ Fogarty is a 32-year-old Entrepreneur from Buffalo, New York. Melissa, alongside her husband, Derek Fogarty, is the founder and CEO of Pothead Parent. Melissa’s journey as a CEO and entrepreneur is remarkable and is one that’s hard to forget. Fogarty believes that consistency is the key to anything in life. Mother, wife, and businesswoman Melissa Fogarty is on a mission to legalize cannabis for both medicinal and recreational use. A self-proclaimed “Super Mom”, Melissa has faced many challenges throughout her life. After trying various methods to help Missy succeed and focus, Melissa turned to cannabis and found relief and a new path to success. She now advocates for cannabis reform and wants to help others find a replacement through this natural plant. Together, these two notorieties built a mega company that is serving so many individuals looking for a sign to make their leap towards cannabis to recover from addiction, abuse, trauma, depression, and motivation. With everything Pothead Parent has in store, and after looking at their statistics, they’re about to put such abundant amounts of confidence and new insight into the hearts of the people who need it lead them towards unlocking their benefits with cannabis. 6. From Corporate to Wellness with Kristy Kuhl
In the 6th episode of Anabolic Mind Show, Mark Jenkins interviews wellness ambassador, mentor, speaker, powerhouse, and close friend, Kristy Kuhl. Stay tuned for her new show also presented by WINJECT Studios, Rise Above It! From corporate America to online entrepreneur. I am obsessed with helping others have the freedom they deserve. Freedom to choose. Freedom from the 9-5 grind. Freedom to be your unique self. Freedom to go where and when. Freedom to give and receive. I am a supporter of women and am committed to always learning and getting better. When you are truly healthy and wealthy, there’s nothing you can’t accomplish in your life. I didn’t start out this way though, it took taking life on the chin a few times for me to get the wake-up call I needed to find a way to thrive instead of surviving. On the outside, my life looked very attractive. I had the job of my dreams in disruptive medical device sales leadership, a fancy car, a nice home, and enough disposable income to travel and afford the luxuries I dreamed about as a child. Something was missing and I didn’t put my finger on it until I was 15 years into my career, attending every personal development conference and reading every book I could find, desperately trying to find peace and happiness. At a Tony Robbins program, I heard him say this phrase, “success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure” and it shook me to my core. That was what I was living…a life without fulfillment. Not to mention a very stressful high-pressure life both from the expectations in my corporate role and the stress I put on myself each day. I was exhausted, unhappy, and unfulfilled. I knew there had to be a better way and in a moment of courage, I made the leap, pivoted, and began redesigning my life to one that made me feel fulfilled in every aspect. I also became congruent, auditing my list of friends, activities, co-workers, and philanthropic alignments. Life is totally different when you are living in your purpose, have fulfillment, and are 100% congruent. Enough about me…I want to learn about you! I look forward to supporting you on your journey to achieving both by recognizing the gaps that exist and helping you build the bridge that leads you to where you want to go. My superpower is my unique point of view; I see the blind spots of those I serve, bridging them from where they are to where they are trying to go. Connect with me if you seek to design a better life for yourself; one filled with an abundance of happiness, health, wisdom, and wealth. Everything you need is already within you now. I simply work closely with you to unlock your full potential and ensure you live a life filled with passion. 1. Leader of Black LIVES Matter, Hawk Newsome
In the premiere episode of Anabolic Mind Show, Mark Jenkins interviews longtime friend, Hawk Newsome Growing up, Newsome argued with his parents and younger sister, Chivona, about events they saw on the news. Newsome says he "was brought up to have a revolutionary heart" by his parents, who met in the 1960s at a civil rights protest. When Hawk and Chivona were young, their father became ill, forcing Hawk to look after his younger sister. Newsome dropped out of high school, but later attended Concordia College in Bronxville, New York, and received a J.D. degree from Touro College Law Center in New York City. Afterwards, Newsome worked as a paralegal for the Bronx District Attorney's Office and also worked as a project manager at the law firm Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker. He unsuccessfully ran for a seat on the New York City Council from The Bronx, garnering around 3% of the vote on a platform Newsome said was "too radical". He subsequently co-founded Black Lives Matter of Greater New York with Chivona Newsome. Chivona later stepped down from the group to run for a U.S. House seat in The Bronx. In September 2021, Newsome called COVID-19 vaccine mandates "racist" and "discrimination." In November 2021, Newsome threatened "riots", "fire", and "bloodshed" in the streets of New York City mayor-elect Eric Adams reinstated the New York City Police Department's (NYPD) controversial anti-crime units. Later, when asked whether he condemned riots and burning down buildings after a police use-of-force incident he did not approve of he said, "I’m not going to condemn, nor am I going to condone it." Newsome has filed two ongoing civil lawsuits against the NYPD, alleging that he was assaulted by police officers and falsely arrested during two separate protests in 2017 and 2018. A video posted by the New York Daily News shows a police officer punching Newsome before several police officers tackled him to the ground. Newsome was holding a sign that read: "Blue Klux Klan".
