Sometimes despite all our positive thinking and celebrating small wins, we just come away feeling un-inspired, not excited by work or our dreams or anything. This would be a good time to reflect. How do the twins handle it? TakeawaysIt’s okay for goals to change and priorities to shift. Sometimes we need that in order to reset or move forward again feeing inspired. Nothing happens overnight. It’s okay to reinvent yourself as many times as you want regardless of your age. Just be patient as you go through those changes.When you’re feeling un-inspired, take a break. Walk away from what you’re doing and take a pause. Engage in an interest or hobby that lights you up instead for a little while.Regardless of how un-inspired you may be feeling, cultivate the faith and belief in yourself to overcome any challenge or obstacle. Look at the things that other people have achieved and use that as evidence of what is possible for you. It’s proof of what you too can accomplish.Sometimes when you are in the middle of hardship or a problem, you can’t see your way through but trust in your next step and focus on that. That next step will lead you to the next and eventually you’ll find your way out of it. When worse comes to worst and you feel completely stuck, stop and do the thing that brings you the most joy instead. You’ll thank yourself later when that spark of inspiration to lead you on to your next step reveals itself. When something doesn’t go your way, look at the way you react to it. We've talked about it before, and everyone else is talking about it, but that's because it's so good! Manifesting! But how do we actually do it beyond just putting an image on a vision board?TakeawaysManifesting is about how you feel when you think of the desire. Having an attitude of gratitude now for the thing you don’t have is more likely to bring it to you than feeling desperate. Be specific with how manifesting your desire makes you feel without focusing on how or when it needs to happen. You’re limited only by your beliefs. It’s great to believe so much in your dreams but more importantly is taking steps to bring it to fruition.If you set a time goal for your want, and you don’t get it by then, at least you can be proud you did work toward that goal and are now in the flow of making it happen.We get used to our stories, so even if they’re negative, they’re comforting through familiarity. If you are stuck, take some time to dig into why you believe the things that you do. Your subconscious beliefs drive your conscious thoughts and current perception of reality. Change the thought. When trying to change negative thinking or bad habits, literally change the thought and think of something else that can occupy your mind. Self-awareness is the first step to changing old patterns that aren’t working for you anymore.Everything happens in its time. You can’t force it. It won’t happen until you’re ready for it. We like being positive, but that doesn’t mean never feeling negative feelings. It means accepting and allowing them in without judging yourself. And especially for women, those depressed and existential feelings come once every month. So what can we do about it? TakeawaysWe let others have space to work emotions out, so we must allow ourselves time to do the same.Holding space is easy. When you feel some sort of negative feeling, accept it. Give yourself a time limit and allow yourself to feel everything you feel. Don’t worry about trying to sort through the issue at that moment. Just allow yourself to get all your feelings about whatever is bugging you out of your system. Do this with a time limit so you’re not wallowing endlessly. Whether it’s 10 minutes, 1 hour, or 3 hours. Make up action steps to take after your time limit.Don’t justify your feelings with thoughts; just feel them. Thinking could lead to snow-balling worse feelings. They are just feelings and by nature they come and go.Distractions are what we do to numb or avoid feeling our feels rather than dealing with them. It’s healthy to take your mind off what’s bugging you through productive, healthy “distractions” but the key to getting through what’s bugging you is first accepting your feelings and allowing yourself to feel what you feel. Lots of religious people can also be hypocritical, violent, fanatical. Piety is knowing your faith, and practicing it with love and acceptance. Being pious is about surrender, love, non-judgement, non-violence. Religion exists to give us structure, a way of living peacefully through love and surrender to a higher power. It is not about rigidity, fear, or controlling others.Do you think it's better to give children a choice in what religion they practice or to raise them in your faith?Raising kids in your religion, it’s like wanting to share something you love with any other person. As long as they feel they can choose to keep it or leave it, there’s nothing wrong with raising them in religion.It’s easy to judge people for who you think they represent (political party, religion, ethnicity). Try to see the whole person.If religion is used as a fear-tactic in parenting, people may reject it as they grow up or else stay scared and sheeple-ish. This is what can turn off others who didn’t grow up with religion, looking in from the outside.Extremism is what we get when politics are mixed with religion to create fear in order to control a people.Religion and science aren’t mutually exclusive. What is the RAS part of your brain, and how can you take control of it to change your reality? Basically, whatever you think is important will be part of your conscious mind.The RAS doesn’t make judgements. It is not good or bad; we are the ones who assign emotions to it. Even focusing on what you don’t want to happen, you are still focusing on that thing.We are what we believe we are, not what we say we are.Your limiting beliefs were created to protect from trauma; the RAS processes information based on your beliefs.For example: If you believe people are not to be trusted, or that everyone is a cheat, your RAS will show you evidence to validate that belief through the interactions you have with others.Believing is seeing - you must believe a thing first and then you will see evidence of it being true.Even successes can be blocked out, if you truly believe you don’t deserve a thing or can’t do a thing (even if you just did it).Ask yourself why you believe you can’t do a thing.If you have negative thoughts and beliefs about something, like receiving money, you can write them out and for each one, write a positive one in its place.Handwriting things out especially in cursive helps connect the words and make them mean something to you so go ahead and grab a piece of paper and write out your affirmations.Crossing the lowercase T (t) higher up shows more self-confidence.Take a moment and think about where your thoughts tend to be. We are responsible for how we conduct ourselves in relation to others but their reactions, feelings, actions, are their own responsibility, not yours.Like The Four Agreements says: Do not take it personal. Cancel culture today is both good and bad.
