Grounded in Maine Podcast is an open conversation about being mindful of how we show up for the world. We discuss the role we play in sustainability including gardening and preserving, recycling and composting and even household DIY. It's a podcast about our commitment to ecological responsibility, and learning different ways to be part of the solution.
This conversation with Jane Lee Rankin was so easy - it felt like it just flowed for me - it helps that we are very like-minded... Whatever it was, I had the best time getting to know her! Jane Lee Rankin is a 2 time author, and also a farmer in Agritourism, opening up her farm so that others can come and feel the peace that comes with farming (or maybe just digging in the dirt and interacting with animals), and an active community member. She is also a public speaker, talking about Agritourism and entrepreneurship.Jane talks about Agritourism, her journey to living on Apple Hill Farm, an old apple orchard, and how it ALLLLL started: an alpaca. Yup, you read that. She moved far from where she was, and took on an old farm, and started this whole dream because she came face to face with an alpaca. Jane's message she wanted you to leave with: "Live your dream."I think I'll just leave it at that. You can find Jane Lee Rankin just about everywhere - adding all her links below:Jane's and the farm's websites: https://janeleerankin.com/https://applehillfarmnc.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jane.l.rankin.1also here: https://www.facebook.com/applehillfarmInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/janeleerankin/and here: https://www.instagram.com/applehillfarmnc/Her YouTube channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/@JaneLeeRankinAHFAnd on Linkedin here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-lee-rankin-948732a9/You can send me messages(this is new!)!Support the showPlease follow Grounded In Maine podcast on Instagram here , or on Facebook hereYouTube channel link is here You can DM me there or email me at amysgardenjam@gmail.com Website for Amy's Garden Jam is www.amysgardenjam.comHow Do I Get There From Here by Jane Bolduc - listen to more at www.janebolduc.comPodcast cover by Becca Kofron- follow here on Instagram here https://www.instagram.com/cute_but_loud/ and/or check out her awesome art projects here: https://www.cutebutloud.com/ Grounded in Maine Podcast is hosted by Buzzsprout, the easiest podcast hosting platform. Ooh, this conversation with Kyira Wackett was so good! Kyira hosts her own podcast, Untethering Shame, and brought such a necessary conversation for me, as every week I'm talking about all of these cool people who are doing amazing things in sustainability, and this week we're talking about SHAME, which feels so important right now. It's so true, and I often think about people who feel shame around sustainability - folks who feel like if they can't afford the expensive things that say sustainable on them, they're not allowed to feel like a part of the solution. I feel it, too! I've had people that I know hang their head and mention something they feel bad about around plastic/recycling or composting; like I'm a perfect person who does everything right... I'm also human - AND if you notice, I'm talking to these folks so I can learn, too, and highlight what THEY'RE doing... Nobody's perfect, and there's no such thing (that I'm aware of) as perfect sustainability. We should only be comparing ourselves to our yesterday self, and nobody else. Easier said than done, I know, but that's the goal- Kyira, a licensed therapist AND coach, has so many enlightening thoughts on this topic, obviously, and I'm thrilled that she was able to share them with us all, and hopefully not just ease our minds but also empower us.These are her words, from her guest form: "There is no all or nothing, you don't have to be perfect, and that the fear we all have about the state of the world is real, but that it can't be your primary motivation, or you will get stuck in pain and fear and negative self-talk. The pressure will be rooted to the wrong purpose." This conversation with Christina Flach was gold! She is just a wealth of knowledge, experience and kindness. Christina is a Makeup Artist to the stars, and created a clean makeup that is night and day better than commercial makeup. She has a family, and was very vulnerable in sharing her trauma, but she has such a warmth and mentoring nature and has focused on helping others to honor her losses.Pretty Girl Makeup is Christina's product, and if you listen to the episode, she offers a hefty discount code! She tells us why she created it and what makes it better than what people have been wearing for decades. And she tells us what we need to look out for and some real downfalls to commercial makeups.Christina also has her own YouTube show called "I'm Too Busy" - check out the link offered below to see it! https://www.imtoobusytv.com/I'm just in awe of all that Christina is doing and has done in the makeup world and outside of it, too - super grateful to have had the chance to learn from her!Christina's website is here: https://www.christinaflach.com/Pretty Girl Makeup site is here (did you catch the discount code?): https://www.prettygirlmakeup.com/shopChristina's on Instagram as herself and Pretty Girl Makeup here: https://www.instagram.com/prettygirlmkup/https://www.instagram.com/christinaflachmakeup/You can send me messages(this is new!)!Support the showPlease follow Grounded In Maine podcast on Instagram here , or on Facebook hereYouTube channel link is here You can DM me there or email me at amysgardenjam@gmail.com Website for Amy's Garden Jam is www.amysgardenjam.comHow Do I Get There From Here by Jane Bolduc - listen to more at www.janebolduc.comPodcast cover by Becca Kofron- follow here on Instagram here https://www.instagram.com/cute_but_loud/ and/or check out her awesome art projects here: https://www.cutebutloud.com/ Grounded in Maine Podcast is hosted by Buzzsprout, the easiest podcast hosting platform. I've been following Alexa Pavan for a long time on Instagram - I love everything she posts and stands for, and I was so thrilled when she said yes to a conversation! I may have been a little giddy talking with her... Usually I like to get the back story of a guest, and get to the point where their life changed to be more sustainable, but Alexa doesn't have that - she grew up in a pretty sustainable household, and just extended it to include the rest of the world. In her social media, she touches on shopping small, to support local businesses instead of padding the pockets of the ultra rich - and also to stop the big trucks from polluting the air. She talks about keeping our oceans clean, and why that's important (her parents owned a scuba diving business in FL while she was growing up, so she's very passionate about the ocean). She talks about imperfect sustainability, and why we shouldn't focus on doing EVERYTHING, but do what we're able to, and if everyone did what they could, we can make a real difference. And to get in touch with nature - spend more time outside and appreciate what's around usAlexa encourages community advocacy, and to remember that our voices matter! We can support with our wallets and our voices.Check out Alexa's website here: https://www.alexapavan.com/Her awesome Instagram is here: https://www.instagram.com/gogreenwithalexa/Her TikTok is here: https://www.tiktok.com/@gogreenwithalexaAnd her Facebook is here: https://www.facebook.com/gogreenwithalexaYou can send me messages(this is new!)!Support the showPlease follow Grounded In Maine podcast on Instagram here , or on Facebook hereYouTube channel link is here You can DM me there or email me at amysgardenjam@gmail.com Website for Amy's Garden Jam is www.amysgardenjam.comHow Do I Get There From Here by Jane Bolduc - listen to more at www.janebolduc.comPodcast cover by Becca Kofron- follow here on Instagram here https://www.instagram.com/cute_but_loud/ and/or check out her awesome art projects here: https://www.cutebutloud.com/ Grounded in Maine Podcast is hosted by Buzzsprout, the easiest podcast hosting platform. Whew, this conversation was so good! Lacey and her husband are homesteading in North Carolina, and I noticed they're in a town that I was actually really hoping to find a house in, so that felt kind of Kismet to start off - but there's just so much more that she does that resonates and interests me! My favorite thing we talked about was the food clubs they're organizing to help make sure their community has access to healthy, fresh, local food. How awesome is that? I'll be heading to visit them once I'm settled to see what they've got going on, and how I can take part/contribute to the food club, and I'm so excited about that! They also are teaching their children the ins and outs of homesteading, like using whole animal, and why that's important. Also the value of community (you know I love that!) and taking care of each other. Lacey is so smart, and she and her husband Drew host their own podcast called The Schoolhouse Life, where they talk about these same things and more.I learned so much from talking with Lacey! I loved this conversation with Amanda Russo, talking about breathwork and how it can actually heal us if we give it the chance.I met Amanda just a couple of months ago, but we've been following each other for many months, so I'm excited to get some quality time with her. I'm inspired by her spontaneous nature, and her free spirit, and she is also SO intune to every moment.Amanda focuses on breathwork because when she tried it the first time she had such an impactful session that she had to learn more and learned how to provide the same gift to others.*Full disclosure* I'm scheduling a breathwork session with Amanda, so I feel more knowledgeable -- and also to do some healing personally. I'm fascinated by all the healing modalities, and am so curious to share whether I feel different afterward or not--Amanda was a hoot! I tease Harry Duran about how we first connected, because it makes me feel good about my scrappiness as a podcaster. He wasn't mean, just way bigger than me - and he still is, we're just connected now, which I'm so grateful for!Harry's first podcast, Podcast Junkies just hit the 10 year mark recently, and I'm super grateful to have been a guest (see episode 332). If you remember the show Inside the Actor's Studio, with James Lipton, it's based on that, but for podcasters. There are so many podcasters, and everyone has a story --His 2nd podcast, Vertical Farming, is about just that, and has brought him all over the world. He talks to CEOs of companies in the field to learn more about practices and purpose, and they love the chance to be featured, and Harry loves learning. so it's a win win. He also has a group that he's guiding in podcasting called podcast Blueprint - Harry talks about it on his Fullcast website here: https://fullcast.co/Harry and his partner moved a few years ago to Minnesota from NYC, and he doesn't talk about it a lot, so I thought it would be fun to see how that transition has been - listen to the full episode here! Sam Mitchell approached me, and was just so dynamic that I had to have him on the podcast to talk about Autism and his podcast Autism Rocks and Rolls, and you'll see why here!I definitely couldn't do any better putting Sam into words, so I'm copying these from his initial email: "I am a high-functioning human being on the autism spectrum, but have a mission: to show people that I am not broken, do not need to be fixed, there is no normal in this world, and I am successful, with autism. I want to celebrate the successes of all people. I embrace who I am and feel as though everyone should do the same." And this: "I also am a motivational speaker, entrepreneur, sell merchandise, have several sponsors, sell ad space, am writer and blogger, and love to promote my podcast and business. I also have a published TED Talk called Souled Structure."I loved talking with Sam, and learning all about the fascinating guests he's had on his podcast, and the great things he's doing with it. He is definitely not broken; he's an inspration - and he's a college student! Here's the message he wanted everyone to leave with from our conversation: "You can be successful no matter what condition or disability you have." I've been listening to Karin Velez's podcast Just Grow Something for quite a while, because I love how she offers helpful, bite sized truth bombs about growing produce every episode - and she also has this voice that is so easy for me to listen to... Man, I loved this conversation with Carrie Hoffman of Bigger Life Adventures! I was sold with sustainable travel, but this conversation is SO much more- Carrie lives the sustainable lifestyle - She lives on 10 acres in the mountains of Arizona! You can probably hear (and hopefully can tune out) the crackly sound, but she lives out in the open and that's our reality - if you can let go of that sound, you'll get her important messageAs a Trauma Informed Yoga Instructor, Carrie takes her role very seriously. She takes her retreats all over the world, to inspiring, peaceful and SLOW paces, to let the body calm and remember what peace feels like.A part that really stood out for me was that she goes to some of the same places; they form relationships with the residents, and support them as well - not overwhelming them with thousands of tourists - it's more than just money, after all. She talks about the amount of litter left after cruise ships leave. She is very mindful of so many things . I loved this message that Carrie was hoping you would gather from our conversation:"Yoga is more than just a physical exercise you do in a studio. Being a yoga means being aware of your impacts on others and the world around you."And also this: "I use travel as a way to open people's eyes to climate change and global inequity ..."This is a big conversation, and I absolutely loved it. I love any chance to learn how to be a better human, and Carrie does just that. You can find Carrie at her website http://www.biggerlifeadventures.comShe's also on the socials here https://www.instagram.com/biggerlifeadventures/ and here https://www.facebook.com/biggerlifeadventuresYou can send me messages(this is new!)!Support the showPlease follow Grounded In Maine podcast on Instagram here , or on Facebook hereYouTube channel link is here You can DM me there or email me at amysgardenjam@gmail.com Website for Amy's Garden Jam is www.amysgardenjam.comHow Do I Get There From Here by Jane Bolduc - listen to more at www.janebolduc.comPodcast cover by Becca Kofron- follow here on Instagram here https://www.instagram.com/cute_but_loud/ and/or check out her awesome art projects here: https://www.cutebutloud.com/ Grounded in Maine Podcast is hosted by Buzzsprout, the easiest podcast hosting platform. I have a big request, you guys - I need some MALE people to give their perspective on menopause - I'm really doing it - I've been talking about the Menopause Panel since November/December, and it's finally happening. I'm so excited for these conversations, and to help people feel empowered and not feel broken when their body is changing in ways we aren't expecting; that we are not alone, and we don't need to quietly suffer with the changes. In talking, we learn ways that have helped others, and gain a community of support. In my own journey, I've lost a marriage, a partner, most of my self esteem and my home. It wasn't ALL menopause, but because by the time I figured out what was happening, it was too late. I want a better understanding about what goes on on the other side, a better understanding FOR the other side, and I want a better outcome for others. Also, I appreciate your patience as I'll probably take a couple of weeks off of recording while I move in August. There will most likely be adventures to report on once I'm settled!Thank you, as always, for listening to this little podcast, and for your support and curiosity about different ways we can practice sustainability. Oh man, I learned SO much about energy audits from Colin McCullough! He's been doing audits for a long time, and is passionate about it. He is one of the very few people I've talked to who said he would do his job for free if he didn't need money to survive - that says so much to me about him. Energy Audits help you to see how to make your home more efficient - and it might not be what you think - it wasn't what I thought, at least... He also offers consulting services, so definitely hit him up if you're interested in an audit or have questions! I love Colin's story about when he was young and gave his family lightbulbs instead of scratch lottery tickets - I'm thrilled that he didn't stray from that childhood dream of making the world better. Colin is also a Vegan cookbook writer! WHAT?! So cool! And he teaches Vegan cooking at the hospital in Augusta - what a generous guy, to share his knowledge!Have you heard of an energy audit? Have you HAD an energy audit of your home? I'd love to hear from you how helpful it was for you! I've heard of them, but had no idea the extent of what happened. Oh my gosh, our friend Ande Lyons introduced us, and I was thrilled to get to talk to Cathy Nesbitt of Cathy's Composters about worm composting; I was told she also taught "Laughter Yoga," which I guess made sense, and was very curious about, but when I met Cathy on Zoom, I was instantly sold. Cathy has been teaching worm composting for over 2 decades (her WHY is so inspiring!), and has been teaching Laughter yoga for several years now - she has a weekly Chuckle Club zoom meeting on Tuesday mornings. I attended one of Cathy's Chuckle Club meetings, and let me tell you how awkward it felt to be silly and make myself laugh (even harder when at work); I didn't realize that it takes practice to let go when we work so hard at staying busy... But laughter really IS the best medicine, and Cathy talks about why that is in this conversation. As I'm pasting all of these links, I'm laughing, because Cathy told me she doesn't have a cell phone, which sounds weird in 2024, but she doesn't seem to be missing it; she has more links than I do!I so enjoyed the chance to hang out with Cathy and learn from her. She seems to lead a super maintained, but I have a feeling she values her "down time" just as well...You can find Cathy Nesbitt at any of the links belowCathy's worm composting website: https://www.cathyscomposters.com/Her Laughter Yoga page: https://www.cathyscomposters.com/She has a Linkedin page: https://www.linkedin.com/in/cathynesbitt/Her YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/rhgn2112Twitter/X: https://twitter.com/SquirmAnd please check out the Chuckle Club - your mind and body will thank you later!Cathy's Chuckle Club (est June 2020) - Free 9:30 AM Eastern Time, Every Tuesday 30 minutes super fun, self care. Mary Lewis has her own podcast called A Tiny Homestead, where she talks with other homesteaders and people doing "homestead-y" things... She's had some pretty impressive guests, like Joel Salatin and me... It makes me think of my plan before this podcast, so I'm loving following Mary to see how that goes!Mary's message that she's hoping you take away from this conversation: "take care of yourself, take care of the Earth, and always be curious-" you have to love that, right? Pretty much covers everything. I especially love that Mary is vocal about living on a small homestead, because I think that's a really important point to make; you don't have to live on a huge farm to be making a difference, or even providing for your family. And she does - you can hear it here!OH - and Mary grew up in Maine! Y'all, if this conversation with Shelly Cunningham doesn't make you want to shop at Consignment stores over cheaply made box store clothes, I don't know what will change your mind- I didn't know what I've been missing! Shelly bought ReStyle, a consignment boutique, 12 years ago, and moved it a couple of times, but is now settled on Rte 1 in Freeport heading toward Yarmouth. When she invited me to come and see her place, I was curious, but not being a clothing shopper, a little scared that I'd be hounded. When I opened the door, Shelly called out "Hi Amy!" and I felt instantly at home - like the show Cheers (though I had set a time that I'd be there)... Shelly is so friendly and genuinely wants you to feel good about yourself leaving, so she waits on you, finding things that she thinks would look good on you - you see, for Shelly, it's not just a "clothing store," clothing is a tool to help create confidence and success.Shelly at ReStyle and her friend Tammy, who owns Kargos, another local consignment store that sells a lot of vintage items and natural fabric clothing, are Co-Hosting a Re-Fashion show this Friday 5/31 starting at 7pm in Freeport, and all are invited to celebrate second chance fashion that benefits Freeport Climate Action Now (FCAN). Have you guys seen Monti Carlo on Instagram? How about the Food Network or other Food TV shows? I feel so out of the loop; I've watched so little TV the last bunch of years that I didn't know she was on TV... BUT I found her on Instagram, and watched her great food saving tip reels. And then one day I saw her back story, and I had to learn more about her. She was so generous to accept my podcast invite, and share her knowledge and passion for food waste with us, and I'm so excited to share this with you all!Monti's tag line is "Save the Food," and it's so heart breaking and beautiful where that stems from. I'm here for all of it - listen to it all here! You can find Monti on Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/themonticarlo/She also has a You Tube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@MontiCarloBe on the look out for her upcoming book Spanglish! You can also find her wherever there are Food TV shows~You can send me messages(this is new!)!Support the showPlease follow Grounded In Maine podcast on Instagram here , or on Facebook hereYouTube channel link is here You can DM me there or email me at amysgardenjam@gmail.com Website for Amy's Garden Jam is www.amysgardenjam.comHow Do I Get There From Here by Jane Bolduc - listen to more at www.janebolduc.comPodcast cover by Becca Kofron- follow here on Instagram here https://www.instagram.com/cute_but_loud/ and/or check out her awesome art projects here: https://www.cutebutloud.com/ Grounded in Maine Podcast is hosted by Buzzsprout, the easiest podcast hosting platform. This is Maine Community Solar's 2nd appearance on Grounded in Maine, and I couldn't be more thrilled! We met Tony Napolitano in the fall when he told us about Maine Community Solar and why it's a great opportunity for Mainers, and other states where there's a Community Solar farm available to utilize - this time Tony's bringing his Business Partner/Cousin John, and they're 'debating' whether trees or seas are more worthy of a donation (hint: they're BOTH worthy!) in honor of Earth Month. We talk about the benefits of having trees and ocean, and what we can do to protect them. We also, of course, talk about (Maine) Community Solar, why that's important, and how easy it is to sign up, utilize renewable energy and get a discount on your electric bill (that's a win win WIN!)Big thanks to Maine Community Solar for spending time with me, and for their constant dedication to helping people to participate in renewable energy and getting a discount on their electricity. They welcome questions about community solar any time, because education is top priority. Grounded in Maine is thrilled to be partnering with Connor Tyson to support listeners with financial coaching. This is such a great offer; to encourage self confidence and self sufficiency in finances! Connect with Coach Connor Tyson of Progress Solutions LLC here: https://bit.ly/48eM9Mc I have so many things spinning inside my head at any given time, so I did some thinking out loud for this week's episode. One thing is that I'm hoping this podcast is providing value to you. Could you please get in touch and let me know what you love or don't love? If you could leave a rating or review somewhere, that would be so helpful, if other people are looking for a great podcast about sustainability-The Menopause Panel Project is ON! I'm looking for people - women and men - to be part of the panel, and questions that you might have around menopause! Send me messages of ideas, or if you're interested in being part of this. I'm so excited to hear how different- or similar peoples' experiences are!And lastly, I'll be moving soon, and am curious what your sustainable priorities would be in a new (to you) home? I'll plan to put solar panels on if they're not already, and heat pumps; I've got a composter, and will definitely be having a garden. What else should I be considering?? I recently learned about a company called Solar Pro, and met with them - they said you can LEASE solar panels, and have them installed at no cost; you just pay the monthly charges for a number of years. That's such a cool offer, to not have the huge investment to start out, then you can bank up your savings and pay them off-- I love that!I also mentioned some really awesome upcoming episodes, including one with Connor Tyson (Coach Connor, from the sponsor ads), and his super great service, offering understanding of finances as a form of personal sustainability!Thank you so much for listening! Connect with Sponsor Coach Connor Tyson of Progress Solutions LLC here: https://bit.ly/48eM9McWade Brill and I met in a podcasting workshop with One Stone Creative once or twice about a year ago, and have been supporting each other on Instagram since - Wade had a fun idea to interview me to talk about sustainable practices, and we agreed then to do a podcast trade - AND we did them back to back, like real podcasters! It was so great to get to know Wade better, and to hear some of her story and what drives her, and her work and podcast fit so well into my pivot this year to learn more personal sustainability tips with her podcast Centered in the City where she talks about mindfulness and meditations and other health-minded practices to calm the nervous system in this busy world. Wade lives in Seattle, WA, but grew up in New York City, and had a farm in her family's close connections for many years, so she has a strong connection to farm life - and she has great stories to share about it.She talked about her passion for travel, and her conflict of trying to be more sustainable, but also the pull to travel, and I know there are others who must share those feelings. And she also brought back a European habit from a recent trip that she talks about - hear more here! You can find Wade on her websites here https://www.wadebrill.com/ and here https://www.centeredinthecity.org/ She's on TikTok at https://www.tiktok.com/@centeredinthecityAnd Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/onewade/You can send me messages(this is new!)!Support the showPlease follow Grounded In Maine podcast on Instagram here , or on Facebook hereYouTube channel link is here You can DM me there or email me at amysgardenjam@gmail.com Website for Amy's Garden Jam is www.amysgardenjam.comHow Do I Get There From Here by Jane Bolduc - listen to more at www.janebolduc.comPodcast cover by Becca Kofron- follow here on Instagram here https://www.instagram.com/cute_but_loud/ and/or check out her awesome art projects here: https://www.cutebutloud.com/ Grounded in Maine Podcast is hosted by Buzzsprout, the easiest podcast hosting platform. Connect with Sponsor Coach Connor Tyson of Progress Solutions LLC here: https://bit.ly/48eM9Mc I learn so much from Lauren Landers, AKA The Zero Waste Homestead on Instagram, so I thought it would be fun to record some stuff for the rest of us to get to hear. Lauren is something of a Sustainability Educator in Northern Maine (north of me, at least), which I didn't realize until we were talking, but who better to chat with about sustainability, right? Worked out perfectly!Lauren moved to Ellsworth, Maine just a couple of years ago, and is making a name for herself by speaking at events and gardening classes, etc in her area. This is her first podcast appearance, though - first of many, I imagine! The two of us geeked out a little about worms, and talked about shampoo bars and the cleaners and soaps she makes- listen to the whole conversation here-You can find Lauren on the socials here: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/zerowaste.homestead/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thezerowastehomestead/Twitter/X : https://twitter.com/ZeroHomesteadAnd her website is here: https://zerowastehomestead.com/You can send me messages(this is new!)!Support the showPlease follow Grounded In Maine podcast on Instagram here , or on Facebook hereYouTube channel link is here You can DM me there or email me at amysgardenjam@gmail.com Website for Amy's Garden Jam is www.amysgardenjam.comHow Do I Get There From Here by Jane Bolduc - listen to more at www.janebolduc.comPodcast cover by Becca Kofron- follow here on Instagram here https://www.instagram.com/cute_but_loud/ and/or check out her awesome art projects here: https://www.cutebutloud.com/ Grounded in Maine Podcast is hosted by Buzzsprout, the easiest podcast hosting platform. Connect with Sponsor Coach Connor Tyson of Progress Solutions LLC here: https://bit.ly/48eM9McHayley Knight and I started our "mutual admiration society" on Instagram and decided to pair up and talk about the cool things that she's up to, since I talk all the time, and her life seems way more exciting than mine...Hayley and her spouse Marcus have a PR firm called Be Yellow and are traveling the world; they are 2 and 1/2 years in right now. This all started from a severe career burnout, and Hayley was ordered by a Dr to get away. We learn a lot about burnout and the danger of letting it get too far, how Hayley is keeping it at bay, and what lights her up these days. As well as learning about where they've traveled...Hayley's firm works with sustainable businesses, and that's a non-negotiable for them; it's that important to only support people who are working to better the earth's situation. It must be so satisfying to be able to exercise that kind of power! When asked what message Hayley wanted to leave the listeners with, it was this: "Do what you can, with what you have." She also said "We have to Progress to make progress..." which I loved.Hear all about Haley here!If you'd like to learn more about the work that Hayley (and Marcus) does, or would like to work with them, check out their website here: https://www.beyellow.life/Their Instagram page is here - definitely check out to drool over travel pics and drooly views: https://www.instagram.com/hayleyandmarcus/You can send me messages(this is new!)!Support the showPlease follow Grounded In Maine podcast on Instagram here , or on Facebook hereYouTube channel link is here You can DM me there or email me at amysgardenjam@gmail.com Website for Amy's Garden Jam is www.amysgardenjam.comHow Do I Get There From Here by Jane Bolduc - listen to more at www.janebolduc.comPodcast cover by Becca Kofron- follow here on Instagram here https://www.instagram.com/cute_but_loud/ and/or check out her awesome art projects here: https://www.cutebutloud.com/ Grounded in Maine Podcast is hosted by Buzzsprout, the easiest podcast hosting platform.
