William Russell Enoch left us on June 3, 2024. For 78 episodes, he portrayed the character of Ian Chesterton, a science teacher whisked away with fellow teacher Barbara Wright by the Doctor and his granddaughter Susan in their time machine, the TARDIS. He was the template for what a male companion to the Doctor should be. With his passing, John and Jim pause their viewing of Doctor Who to discuss the character and the actor.
