Approach Money With Confidence. Mariah Raynor
Money matters can be a big a source of stress, but it doesn't have to be.  You can make up your own rules around money and create a system that works for you. Fear, guilt, and other people's opinions about money, should not dictate how you deal with it. Only you can figure out what works best for you. So get creative and come up with a money strategy that makes you feel confident and happy! In this episode, I speak with Money Coach Mariah AKA Mariah Raynor. We talk about the why’s of our money choices, not the shoulds. We talk about how we feel about debt and money. We geek out on the power of words and how significant they are in our money mindset. Mariah stresses the point that we all get to make our own rules about money. In 2018 Mariah started to feel weighed down by debt and was always worried about money. She felt like she couldn't save any money no matter what she tried. She decided she wanted more for her life. It became her goal to feel in control and confident with money. Over the next 18 months, she continued learning as much as she could and paid off 60k in debt. She went on to get certified in money coaching and started her business towards the end of 2020 and has been helping clients create a better relationship with money ever since. Check out Money Coach Mariah's free training and learn how to stop impulse/over spending - without guilting or restricting yourself. The Conscious Vibe. Dr. Daryl L. Jones and Charles Mitchell
At work, we may feel the pressure to create an identity for ourselves that is different from who we really are. We want to be seen as successful, interesting, and put-together individuals. And if you're not white, you may need to create an identity that is digestible and comfortable for the predominate culture. You may feel pressured to hold back to portray a persona that isn't entirely authentic. It can be incredibly frustrating because it feels like being stuck in a constant cycle of pretending to be someone you're not. What if there were a way to be successful and still be true to one's self?    In this episode,  Dr. Daryl L. Jones and Charles Mitchell Esq., hosts of The Conscious Vibe Podcast, shed some light on how they broke free from the pressures of corporate America to become entrepreneurs with the view to encourage individuals who don't see themselves pursuing a traditional path to create their own opportunities.    I invite you to listen to this episode and include The Conscious Vibe Podcast on your list of must-listen-to podcasts as Dr D.J. (as I like to call him) and Charles Mitchell explore fascinating conscious conversations around mindset, race, politics, business, and culture.   For more information on our guests, resources and a transcript of this episode, please visit:

Stop the Hurt. Sonia Frontera
Too often, we tend to think of physical abuse when we think of abusive relationships. But the truth is, financial abuse is just as dangerous and can be just as damaging. Financial abuse is a type of manipulation where one partner controls all the money in the relationship. They may give their partner an allowance, forbid them from working or make all the financial decisions. That can leave the victim feeling powerless and dependent on their abuser.   In this episode, Bob talks with divorce lawyer, empowerment trainer, author, and domestic violence advocate, Sonia Frontera. As a survivor of an abusive marriage, Sonia discusses some things people can do to prepare themselves to step away from toxic relationships.   One in every four women and one in seven men experience domestic abuse in their lifetimes. "Stop the Hurt" is a guide that teaches you how to spot the signs and take steps to end the abuse in a relationship in which a partner is hurting you or someone you know.   Thank you for taking the time to listen. Priorities Change When Time is Precious. Ryan Lindner
We all know that we only have one life and that we need to make the most of it. For some, this means spending time on their health and wellbeing, while others prioritize their finances. But what happens when time is precious, and you can't do both? Which priority should take precedence?  After two sudden, unexplained cardiac arrests at a young age, author and personal development specialist Ryan Lindner began to explore different perspectives with his clients that come with any profound, life-changing event because if you aren't living, you're dying.  Ryan has a book called "The Half-Known Life," where he challenges the conventional thinking of success, identity, and personal change. Through his experiences, Ryan believes that priorities change when time becomes precious. When we realize that time is precious, we often change the way we think and act. Bob and Ryan discuss the mindset shifts that occur when met with adversity; how we transform and begin to fully appreciate what we have and make the most of every moment. The clock has already started ticking. Ryan's book "The Half-Known Life" offers a fresh perspective on personal growth to help you get out of your head and into your life. But there are ways to work towards financial freedom, even as a teenager!  My next guest, 17-year old podcaster & entrepreneur Chase Guelette knows this all too well. After interviewing knowledgeable guests on topics ranging from personal improvement to finance and investing during his first podcasting venture, he now helps other teens learn about money through experimentation with multiple different side hustles, including couch flipping. There are a lot of assumptions out there about Gen Z'ers and money. I take it upon myself to see if they ring true in this discussion with Chase! Listen to our conversation and see if you agree. Teen Financial Freedom is a personal finance blog and podcast run by teens on a mission to equip their peers with the knowledge, resources, and understanding they need to become financially free. John's Crazy Socks. John and Mark Cronin
Fewer than 1 in 5 people with a disability are employed in the USA. This harsh reality compelled our next guests, father-son entrepreneurs - John and Mark Cronin to create John's Crazy Socks. Inspired by John, a young man with down syndrome, and his love of colorful, fun and creative socks, or what he calls his "crazy socks," began their mission to spread happiness to feet everywhere. Mark is the father of this father-son enterprise. His leadership has demonstrated that pursuing social goals – showing what people with differing abilities can achieve and giving back – makes for good business. John, Mark, and I jump right into how John's love for crazy socks inspired a mini-empire that turned John into a sock tycoon. March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day. To celebrate, we encourage everybody to go out and wear their crazy socks. And if you don't have crazy socks, go to, and buy a pair. John continues to spread happiness and is giving away some crazy socks to 5 lucky MYSA listeners. Visit: for more details on how to get your free socks.
