Hexstatic, an English electronic music duo consisting of Stuart Warren Hill and Robin Brunson, formed in 1997 after the two met at the Channel 5 launch party. They took over for the original members of the Ninja Tune multimedia collective Hex, which had disbanded around the same time. Their early collaborations included work with Coldcut on the Natural Rhythms Trilogy, notably the critically acclaimed A/V single "Timber". Hexstatic's music often integrated visual experiences, and their main album releases, such as Rewind (2000) and Master-View (2004), were packaged as CD and DVD combinations. Master-View included 3D "anaglyph" versions of some of their tracks. The duo also helped design equipment, including the Pioneer DVJ-X1 professional DVD player. Notable collaborations include work with Kris Menace, EBN, Juice Aleem, and David Byrne of Talking Heads.
