Lukie D is a Jamaican dancehall singer and deejay born as Michael Kennedy in 1972 in Cockburn Pen. He began his professional career performing on local sound systems and reached wider visibility for the hit single “Centre of Attraction” (1996). Kennedy is a member of the vocal ensemble L.U.S.T. alongside Thriller U, Singing Melody, and Tony Curtis. His recording career included the studio recordings Be Strong (2005), Deliver Me (2006), and Who's That Girl (2008). Lukie D released the studio recordings Love Again (2009) and Horny (2016). He reached professional recognition for combination hits including “Don't Deny Me” with Lieutenant Stitchie and “Bag It Up” featuring Beenie Man and Black Pearl. His discography included the extended plays If You Leave Me Now (2018) and Bargained For (2018).
