Biografia

MO3 was the stage name of rapper Melvin Abdul Noble Jr., whose aggressive delivery and street-smart lyrics were showcased on a handful of albums before his untimely death in 2020. Born in McKinney, Texas, on May 31, 1992, he moved to Dallas as a child and later became a leader of the city's hip hop community. Shottaz, his debut mixtape, was released in 2014. Two years later, MO3 charted at Number 23 on the US Hip-Hop Albums chart with his second mixtape, Shottaz Reloaded, then cracked the Top 40 once again with 2016's 4 Indictments. Already a popular name on digital streaming services, where songs like "Hold Ya Tongue" had racked up millions of streams, MO3 continued building a national following with 2017's Gangsta Love, Part 1 and 2018's Shottaz 3.0. The latter mixtape featured "Errybody," another viral hit that whose digital streams quickly climbed into the millions. Working with fellow southern rapper Boosie Badazz, MO3 made his full-length debut in February 2020 with Badazz MO3, which hit Number 16 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart. Tragedy struck later that year, when the rapper was killed in Dallas by two gunmen on November 11, 2020. He was 28 years old. His second album, Shottaz 4Eva, was released posthumously on April 9, 2021, with its commercial success — a Number 36 peak on the Billboard 200 and a Number 18 peak on the Top Hip-Hop Albums chart — serving as a testament to his musical talents and legacy.
