Biografia

Bruna Caram (July 26, 1987) is a Brazilian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Avaré, São Paulo. Born into a family with a long-standing musical tradition, she began taking piano lessons at the age of 7 and spent most of her adolescence touring Brazil with the itinerant groups Trovadores Mirins and Trovadores Urbanos. She made her official solo debut with the album Essa Menina (2006), whose eclectic blend of blues, pop, and bossa nova resonated greatly with Brazilian audiences. The album went on to sell over 25,000 copies and included the radio hit single "Palavras do Coração." Featuring a mix of original songs and MPB covers, her sophomore effort Feriado Pessoal appeared in 2008 and enjoyed great popularity in her native country, with her version of 5 a Seco's "Em Paz" reaching Number 77 on the domestic charts. Unlike her previous albums, Será Bem-Vindo Qualquer Sorriso (2012) and Multialma (2016) consisted mainly of self-penned material and helped establish Bruna Caram as one of the most influential and innovative voices in the contemporary MPB scene. In 2017, she made her acting debut alongside Cauã Reymond on Rede Globo's Dois Irmãos. Alivio, her fifth full-length, appeared in 2019.
