Biografia

KMFDM, a historic German industrial rock band, was founded in 1984 by singer and guitarist Sascha Konietzko. Within a few years, the band had moved from the Hamburg underground to the American dance charts, setting up shop in Chicago and Seattle. KMFDM's success was boosted by the album Naive (1990), with hits such as "Split", "Vogue " (#19 in 1992) and "Drug Against War " (1993). Sascha Konietzko, who was close to groups such as Die Krupps and Front 242, and was behind the parallel project Excessive Force, entered his third decade of activity with singer Lucia Cifarelli and the album MDFMK in 2000. The big man spared no effort in the years that followed, with albums such as Tohuvabohu (2007), Blitz (2009) and WTF?! (2011).
