Windhand

Windhand, an American stoner metal group formed in Richmond, Virginia in 2008, began with vocalist Dorthia Cottrell, guitarists Asechiah Bogdan and Garrett Morris, bassist Nathan Hilbish, and drummer Jeff Loucks. Their first release was a 2010 demo, followed by their self‑titled debut album in 2011. After signing with Relapse Records, they issued Soma in 2013, which reached number 24 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. Subsequent releases included Grief's Infernal Flower (2015), reaching number 7 on Heatseekers, and Eternal Return (2018). The band also released split EPs with Satan's Satyrs (2018) and Cough (2013), and a live album Live at WFMU 6.8.2013 (2019). In 2024, Windhand announced a partnership with Creep Purple Records for a vinyl release of Songs From The Satan House, a collection of outtakes from 2012‑2014.
