Carach Angren

Carach Angren, a Dutch symphonic black metal band, was formed in 2003 in Landgraaf by Dennis "Seregor" Droomers and Clemens "Ardek" Wijers. The duo started Carach Angren as a side project based on their shared love for legends and black metal. Their first release was the demo The Chase Vault Tragedy in 2004, followed by the EP, Ethereal Veiled Existence, in 2005. In 2007, Carach Angren signed with Maddening Media and released their debut full-length album, Lammendam, in 2008. The band's subsequent albums include Death Came Through a Phantom Ship (2010), Where the Corpses Sink Forever (2012), This is No Fairytale (2015), and Dance and Laugh Amongst the Rotten (2017). In 2020, drummer Ivo "Namtar" Wijers left the band, and they released their sixth studio album, Franckensteina Strataemontanus.
