Biografia

Award-winning K-pop singer-songwriter Yu-na Choi (born on October 4, 1997 in Deogyang-gu, Goyang, South Korea) a.k.a. Yuju took her first steps as a singer on season one of reality TV competition series K-pop Star 1 in 2011. Four years later, Choi made her debut as a member of the now immensely popular South Korean girl group GFriend. The six-person group established themselves as talented hopefuls with "Glass Bead," peaking at Number 25 on the Gaon Digital Chart, and released their debut album LOL the following July. They have released four successful studio albums to date. Signing to South Korean entertainment company Source Music in 2014, Yuju unveiled her debut 2015 single as a lead artist, "I Love You" (난 널 사랑해), which was featured on an album of songs from South Korean singing competition, King of Mask Singer Vol. 16. 2015 also saw the release of the "Spring Is Gone by Chance" (우연히 봄) single with Loco (featured on the South Korean TV series The Girl Who Sees Smells OST. Part 2), for which Yuju won the Best OST Award at South Korea's Melon Music Awards in 2015. Since then, she has made a number of appearances on soundtracks including the South Korean TV series True Beauty in 2020 and Run On in 2021. Yuju is also an accomplished songwriter, now boasting credits on three GFriend releases, including the group's fourth studio album, 2020's Walpurgis Night.
