Antonio Carlos Nóbrega, born May 2, 1952 in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil, is a singer known for his work featuring cultural traditions from Pernambuco. He began studying music at age 12 and started his musical career in the 1960s with Orquestra de Câmara da Paraíba and Orquestra Sinfônica do Recife. In the 1970s, Nóbrega joined Quinteto Armorial, a group blending classical chamber music with Brazilian folklore roots. He began his solo career in 1976, integrating music, theater, and dance into his performances. Nóbrega gained national fame in the 1990s through shows like Figural, Brincante, and Segundas Histórias. He won several awards, including the Prêmio Shell in 1994.
