Biografia

Nine top ten singles including five number ones, plus two platinum and two gold albums and over ten million record sales tell the story of one of the UK's most successful girl bands of the 1990s. Melanie Blatt and Shaznay Lewis were both session singers and originally formed All Saints with Simone Rainford, making their debut at the Notting Hill Carnival in 1994. They released their first single 'Silver Shadow' in 1994 but after its lack of success Rainford left and was replaced by Canadian sisters Nicole and Natalie Appleton.

The new line-up released their first single 'I Know Where It's At' in 1997, but it was the second 'Never Ever' that made them a sensation, going on to sell more than one million copies. They followed it with a double A-side featuring a cover of the Red Hot Chili Peppers' 'Under the Bridge' and 'Lady Marmalade', another number one. Other major hits swiftly followed, including 'Bootie Call', 'War of Nerves', 'Pure Shores', which was featured in the film 'The Beach', 'Black Coffee' and 'All Hooked Up'. Rumours of internal arguments were confirmed when they announced their split in 2001 but after pursuing solo careers with varying degrees of success, the group reunited in 2006 to release their third album 'Studio 1'. However, despite hits with 'Rock Steady' and 'Chick Fit', they disbanded again in 2008.

They announced a second reunion in 2013 as they went out on tour to support Backstreet Boys in the UK. They recorded their fourth studio album 'Red Flag' in 2016 and played their first headline gig in over a decade at London's KOKO. They followed this up with a full UK tour celebrating their comeback and the success of 'Red Flag' as it entered the charts at number three. They supported Take That on tour in 2017 before releasing their fifth album 'Testament' the following year.
