Momoko Kikuchi, born on May 4, 1968, in Shinagawa, Tokyo, is a multi-faceted Japanese celebrity known for her roles as an actress, entertainer, singer, and scholar. Initially scouted in 1982, Kikuchi began appearing on television in 1983 and made her official debut as an idol in 1984. She quickly rose to fame, achieving seven consecutive Number One songs, including "Sotsugyo - GRADUATION "(1985), "Say Yes!" (1986), "Idol wo sagase" (1987) on the Oricon Chart between 1985 and 1987. However, in the late '80s, she attempted to move away from her idol image by forming a rock band, RA-MU, which unfortunately did not gain significant recognition. After leaving her talent agency, Parfit Production, in 2020 to become independent, Kikuchi continued to make her mark outside the music industry. She has been a brand adviser and has pursued acting with considerable success. Celebrating her 30th anniversary in show business in 2014, Kikuchi released an album re-recording her hit songs from her idol days. In 2024, she released Eternal Harmony marking her first EP along with the two-disc best album Eternal Best (2024).
