Kris Kross Amsterdam: the top Dutch act on international fronts. What started with two brothers from Amsterdam, is now a trio that has grown into a powerful and energetic force that tours around the globe. They took their talent to stages everywhere, from Mysteryland (NL), Tomorrowland (BE), Parookaville (GER) and Ultra Music Festival (USA).
The brothers Jordy and Sander Huisman have always had just one goal: to create a sound that brings different influences together seamlessly. Their sound developed into an amalgamation of R&B, hip-hop, trap and house in a relatively short amount of time because of different parties they held in their homecity Amsterdam.
In 2014 they added MC Yuki Kempees, which made the trio into its final form. They then debuted with their song “Until The Morning” in 2015. Afterwards more releases followed and they made more and more waves in the industry. The rest of the world started noticing and they thus started turning heads everywhere.
The following releases, like “SEX” with Cheat Codes became an international hit with more than 600 million streams on Spotify. Next was their huge collaboration with British popstar Conor Maynard and American hip-hop artist Ty Dollar $ign titled “Are You Sure?”
Later on they reunited with Maynard on “Whenever”, the hit song that interpolates “Whenever, Wherever” by Shakira, but of course they added a little Kris Kross Amsterdam twist. Subsequently the song became the summer song of 2018. It garnered worldwide attention when it made it to the Billboard Dance Chart, the Global Top 50 and 29 Viral Charts on Spotify.
In 2019 Kris Kross Amsterdam returned with the song “Hij Is Van Mij” featuring Maan, Tabitha and Bizzey, which of course went to No. 1 in The Netherlands. This track would then become the best sold and most streamed single of 2019. Next were the songs “Moment” that featured Tabitha again, but this time with Kraantje Pappie, “Ik Sta Jou Beter” with Nielson and “Ooh Girl” with Conor Maynard and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
In 2020 the tracks: “Donderdag” featuring Bilal Wahib and Emma Heester, which received a golden status in 2022, “Mij Niet Eens Gezien” with Lil’ Kleine and Yade Lauren, wich received a platinum status in 2022, and “Loop niet weg” with Emma Heesters and Timo Martin, which already went platinum in 2020, were released.
In 2021 Kris Kross Amsterdam released a huge tune called “Early in the Morning” featuring Conor Maynard and Shaggy which happened to be a international success. What followed was the dutch hit “Vluchtstrook” featuring Antoon and Sigourney K, wich even surpassed Mariah Carey during the Christmas days and was rock solid at 1 in the dutch charts.
Now in 2022 ‘Vluchtstrook is already certified as double Platinum in the Netherlands and Belgium. Kris Kross Amsterdam is even named the most successful dance formation of all time by the official Dutch top 40.
The latest single “Vanavond (uit m’n bol)” with Tino Martin and Donnie, which was released in the end of March this year, is the most streamed dutch song of 2022 so far. The song entered at #1 in the Netherlands and already has a platinum status with over 21 million streams.
After all their tremendous national successes in recent years, the men are eager to score worldwide hits again.
