Robby East

Robby East is an Amsterdam-based music producer known for his ‘chill’ take on melodic house music. The half Dutch, half South-Korean artist has made significant strides in his career, signing with the esteemed label This Never Happened by Lane 8 in 2022. Shortly after, Robby’s track "Toucan" was the most played song on SiriusXM Chill in May and June 2023. Besides being supported by notable artists like Lane 8, Above & Beyond, Nora En Pure, Sultan + Shepard, and Tritonal, Robby's music has been featured on BBC Radio 1, NPO 3FM, and SLAM! Growing up in a musical household, Robby developed a passion for music early on, playing the piano and guitar before discovering music production software at the age of 13. Robby went on to study at the Conservatory of Haarlem in The Netherlands, where he studied electronic music production. This played a significant role in shaping his sound today and has given him a solid foundation in melody and harmony, two central elements in his music. Robby went on to build a name for himself in the future house scene, known for his softer and more melodic take on the emerging genre. He played alongside Oliver Heldens and released multiple singles on Heldens' label while gaining millions of streams. However, Robby decided to transition to a deeper realm, melodic house, seeking a better outlet for his creativity. Now, with the backing of labels like This Never Happened and Colorize, he is showcasing his talent across various cities in Europe, and captivating listeners across the world with his unique sound.
