With her country twang and raging ambition, the daughter of mullet-wearing Achy Breaky Heart singer Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus (aka Hannah Montana) became a tweenie pop phenomenon; turning her armies of parent-nagging, young fans into apoplectic, squealing fits with the merest order "pop it, lock it, polka dot it". Raised on a farm on the outskirts of Nashville, Miley fought through endless auditions to star alongside her father in the hit Disney TV series Hannah Montana, about a teenage pop star living a double life. Quickly becoming a huge franchise, the soundtracks to the TV show and movie gave her/Hannah Montana three Number 1 albums before, under her real name, she also topped the US charts with Meet Miley Cyrus (2007) and Breakout (2008). Singles The Climb and Party In The USA became huge hits, the marketing machine continues to churn out the merchandise, and the tour de force that is Miley Cyrus doesn't look like easing any time soon.
