International classically-trained pianist and composer, Vivian Roost start the piano at 4 years old in his native town, Lausanne (Switzerland) surrounded by lake and montains.
His music univers is somewhere between neoclassical movement and film music. The piano, his instrument of preference, is the center piece of all Vivian Roost's music.
He signed with prestigious music label such as Deutsche Grammophon ("Project XII 2020" for his Gymnopédie No.2 Rework") and recently with Uk Label Double J Music/Pianoramix with whom he released two EP : "Gymnopédie No.1 & 3 Rework" and "The Memory of Time".
In 2021, his music has been listened to more than 3 millions times on all digital platforms.
Vivian Roost’s approach clearly shows his expertise as a sound engineer and producer (he was trained as such): he takes as much care in selecting the pianos, the “vintage” recording equipment, the analogue mixing process as well as the visual. In that sense, he is along the same lines as contemporary postclassical minimalist piano-composers such as Ólafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm and Max Richter.
