U.S. alternative pop dynamo Kat Cunning gained worldwide fame in 2019 for their role as Sabine on Emmy award-winning Netflix teen drama Trinkets but launched their career on the stage. Born Katrina Cunningham on November 12, 1989  in Oregon, U.S., after completing their BFA in Dance at New York State's SUNY Purchase, Cunning begun flexing their theatrical chops in baroque-burlesque cabarets with Company XIV. In 2016, they made their Broadway debut in Cirque du Soleil's first Broadway show Paramour and have also played Emilie in Les Liaison Dangereuse. In 2017, Cunning moved to the small screen to take up the role of Christina Fuego in HBO drama The Deuce with James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal. In 2019, they added another string to their bow with the release of debut singles "King of Shadow", "Birds" and emotive ballad "For the Love". Cunning – whose music has been applauded for its empowering celebration of queer sexuality – signed to Lava / Republic Records in 2020 and released first single "Supernova (tigers blud)". The single was timed to coincide with Cunning's performance of the track as Sabine on season two of Trinkets.
