Biography

Powfu is the hip-hop alias for Canadian musician Isaiah Faber, whose 2019 single "Death Bed (Coffee for Your Head)" because a crossover hit on multiple charts in America, as well as a Top 10 hit in 17 other countries. Born in Vancouver on March 31, 1999, he was only 19 years old when he released "Death Bed (Coffee for Your Head)" on YouTube and Soundcloud in early 2019. The song featured Powfu's laidback rapping, backed by samples of Beabadoobee's debut single, "Coffee." Rereleased by Columbia Records in February 2020, it became a worldwide hit, earning platinum certifications in America, the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand. Having already released four EPs as an independent artist, Powfu included "Death Bed (Coffee for Your Head)" on his first Columbia-backed release, Poems of the Past, in May 2020.
