Plummet

Plummet is an American trance duo from Orlando, Florida, consisting of producer and remixer Eric B. Muniz, known as DJ X, originally from Toronto, Canada, and female vocalist Cheramy Burgess. In 2003, Plummet gained prominence with their club cover version of “Damaged” by Plumb, which became a hit in the UK, reaching number 12 on the UK Singles Chart. The duo followed up with notable achievements such as covering Sade’s “Cherish the Day”, which reached number 35 on the UK chart, and a later cover of Paul Simon’s “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover”, released in 2005. Plummet also issued a release titled Cherish the Day in 2004, further solidifying their presence in the trance music scene. Burgess passed away in 2015, marking the end of Plummet’s active career. Their impact on the trance and Eurodance genres remains notable, with their cover versions leaving a lasting impression on dance music fans worldwide.
