Graham David Fellows, born on May 22, 1959, in the United Kingdom, is a an actor and musician. He first gained public attention with the release of "Jilted John" in 1978, a novelty single that parodied punk-rock vocal styles. The track, which featured the refrain "Gordon is a moron," reached number 4 on the UK Singles Chart. Fellows created this character while studying drama at Manchester Polytechnic. The single was initially released by Rabid Records and later picked up by EMI International. Following "Jilted John", two additional singles under the guise of "Gordon the Moron" were released, along with a pseudo concept-album titled True Love Stories. In 1986, Fellows introduced another comedic character, John Shuttleworth, an aspiring singer-songwriter from Sheffield. This character enjoyed success through various albums and singles, including appearances on BBC Radio Four's "The Shuttleworths" radio series. Throughout his career, Fellows has also created other notable characters such as Brian Appleton and Dave Tordoff, further expanding his comedic repertoire.
