Originally from Bondy, Zikxo follows in the tradition of uncompromising French rap, shaped as much by golden age classics as by the landmarks of the 2000s — from Mafia K'1 Fry to Salif, Booba to Tandem. Breaking through in 2018 with his Freestyles Temps series, shot on a shoestring budget and released on his YouTube channel, he quickly established himself as one of the new voices of technical, no-nonsense rap.
Propelled solely by his fanbase, Zikxo joined Rec.118 at its peak (Ninho, SCH, DA Uzi, Leto) less than a year after dropping his first freestyle. Developing a lucid, introspective style defined by themes of loyalty, the passage of time, and the disillusions of the journey, he released three projects that cemented his artistic identity. Within a sonic universe shaped by producers such as Guilty (Katrina Squad) and Mehsah, the Bondy native moves between boom-bap heritage and more contemporary sounds, while building a track record of collaborations with key figures of French rap (Sadek, Dinos, RK, Lesram, and Zamdane).
Following a debut EP released on his own label Cayenne Music (Le Jeu De La Vie, 2024), Zikxo is now stepping into a new chapter of his career. True to his original DNA, but enriched by the experience and maturity of an extra decade of life, he makes his return through a series of tracks heralding an upcoming project where heavyweights and rising talents from the rap scene will converge.
