Brymir

Brymir, a Finnish folk metal band originating from Helsinki, was formed in 2006 during a summer music camp under the initial name Lai Lai Hei. The group gained traction after winning a contest with their cover of Ensiferum's "Token of Time", which led them to adopt the name Brymir and start composing original music. Their debut album, Breathe Fire To The Sun, was released in 2011 through Spinefarm Records, showcasing early folk metal influences. Brymir transitioned towards a more melodic death metal and symphonic metal sound with their second album, Slayer of Gods (2016), released by Ranka Kustannus. The band continued to evolve, releasing Wings of Fire in 2019 via Out of Line Music, followed by Voices in the Sky in 2022 under Napalm Records. Notable singles include "For Those Who Died" and "The Rain", both in 2016, as well as "Chasing the Skyline" and "Ride On, Spirit" in 2018.
